Dear Gabriel: Not at all; as you have a “teachable spirit,” you will have terrific success. I’ve been doing this, for four decades. Only after I began watching videos, on the hobby, around ten years ago, did I learn proper procedures. I didn’t even understand the nitrogen cycle, until then.
