Why Can't I Leave Group Chat On iPhone?

Go to Settings click Messages then scroll down to Group Messaging and turn it off. It worked for me, I haven’t got any group messages since then.

Being added to a group chat, without permission, where my number is now exposed to anyone (stranger, acquaintance, friend, family, coworkers, or the “former” of any of these!), and where I cannot remove myself, should be a violation of privacy and stalking laws! Being added with permission but not being able to remove myself when I no longer want to be in it should also be a violation of privacy and stalking laws! I wanted to do this because my best friend keeps trying to get me to talk to her other friends and I just simply don’t want to. I suffer from social anxiety and I don’t wanna be a part of it.
