My cavalier died a week ago.. He was 11 years old and I really miss my boy. His name was Dusty. A very beautiful tricolored male. He had heart issues and had to take pills for it, even for the water in his lungs and heart. But last friday he died of the water in his lungs and stomach. He suffocated badly on the way to the vet. We haven't noticed that he feels bad, only then when his nose started to bleed.. We reacted directly as it happens.. but we lost him on such horrible way. He doesn't deserved this.. Poor boy now rests in heaven..
My 13yr old tricolor named Bristol has the same thing. The pills he's on really helps. Now he's developing a problem getting up at times. Other than that he's doing well.

Do you know what is better than having a cavalier, having 2 of them! We went with 2 this time and they have each other when we are out on errands. I will only have 2 from this point forward as they are so social and need attention from their humans or each other at all times. This breed does not do well with too much independent time.
