Old buildings look much more derelict when the roof is visible. Sad that these treasures from the past are not maintained and re-purposed.

Yes, I have filmed about 16 schools so far, most in North county and the city, BUT I have a list of 14 more empty schools to film, it's truly crazy to think about, 30 plus empty abandoned schools in the area.

This is what happens when most of the good people move away and take the good jobs with them. What "community" that remains cannot defend itself from the bad elements.

The roofs look that way because copper thiefs get up there and take the copper flashing and any thing else made of copper and the elements get in and then does damage to the buildings. Sad to see them that way.
