Why are they trying to make Lee look like some kind of victim? Not really the message they should be sending...

Maybe they are trying to say that violence and vigilantism just end up making everything worse.

@@NotContinuum they can do that without placing sympathy with Lee

NotContinuum they can show that by sending Robert to prison. No need for vic visiting her rapist. He didn’t own up to it, in fact he revelled in it. How emmerdale are trying to portray that he will one day confess is so dodgy

@@Han-ek5vc I have to agree with you. I'm not sure what it would take, outside of being raped himself, for Lee to understand. And even then, he'd probably never make the connection.

This story is so horribly written. Why is the predator the victim. It's been so frustrating to watch

I stopped watching this when I found out Ryan was leaving, but thought I'd jump back in because I really like Aaron (obviously the reason I started watching) but bloody hell, this is the most irritating story I've ever witnessed!! WHY is she just stood there eyes wide saying nothing while this woman spews crap at her?!?!?! As if she wouldn't be shouting from the rooftops that she didn't bring this on him, he did. Or at least tell that woman 'no, it's your fault. If you didn't keep coming to the village harassing us none of this would have happened!!' God, I can't wait until this stupid storyline is over so I can just continue to watch Aaron again

I see Lee or his mother and I actively skip their entire scenes anymore, they're that frustrating to get through

I want Victoria to tell Wendy Lee's words "Sometimes no doesn't mean no" and it turns out that that's what Wendy told Lee for years. He's a salesman, so it wouldn't be surprising if she gave him some salesman advice or on how to be a go-getter. There could be a nice realization played out on her face when she realizes that maybe her sweet angel took her advice too far.

This is so infuriating to watch. Lee got exactly what he deserved and I don’t understand this narrative that the show is trying to push that lee will someday face up to what he did and hate himself....he already knows what he did, he admitted it to Robert and seemed proud of it hence why Robert attacked him. The show did a great job with Aaron’s abuse storyline but they really fucked this one up, it’s disappointing.

Knowing what we know now about the day Robert shoveled him just makes this a million times more infuriating to watch.

Omg yes!! And it's getting worse each day!! Two years since we have to see wendy victim posner, two years since we have to hear that lee is a poor victim and Robert the devil... and vic, just no words. These producers have 0 respect for rape survivors.

@@Genuriko One of the things enraging me about it all is that they handled Aaron's abuse storyline so well yet with this one they effed up everything from start to finish- but then again, these producers are notoriously crappy and disrespectful towards everything, aren't they?

@@johnnyversace2512 it's because it's not the same producers, yeah. These women are all conservative as hell and think a rape victim have to live around her abuser family, that this family is the real victim even if they are awful, terrible, dangerous and all liars. The message they are sending to all communities is terrible. You know, i was never into the "this showrunner hate this character" but them!! They definitly hate the Sugden and many others old characters
