- Pompey secured the 2017 League Two title in style, with a resounding win over Cheltenham Town at Fratton Park.
Paul Cook's side had only been top of the table for 32 minutes during the course of the entire season, but snatched the trophy from rivals Plymouth Argyle and Doncaster Rovers.
The fans were already celebrating on the pitch when the full-time whistles blew across the division, meaning the party could really begin.
While an own goal opened the scoring, Kyle Bennett, Kal Naismith (2), Jamal Lowe and Gareth Evans (pen) were also on the scoresheet on a memorable day in PO4.

I was there with my brother and dad, great day. My Dad had terminal cancer, it was special for him, we got him on the pitch at the end. He was an ex Policeman, old school ,so it was hard work persuading him. He loved it though. i can see him in the crowd. lovely. PUP. I watched the whole game again, good memories.

What a great day, and great seeing it all again this afternoon,. Wish you’d added another 10 minutes of the celebrations afterwards though from the crowd and the players in the directors box.
