Its a shame this man never won the Stanley cup, what an athlete he was.
A legend! That was the last puzzle piece he needed
Hasn’t*
He did win the cup in 2004 in game 6
@@kaylanclintc.s2051 Yes the flames got robbed. I will always say the Flames won that cup.
Same for Sittler. Dam shame.
Jerome Iginla was one of my favorite players. He could score goals, make passes, fight (and do very well at it), and he always seemed to have a great attitude. In my mind, he personified what a leader and team Captain should be. Very cool to see his kids following in his footsteps!
A good ole Canadian boy thru n thru!
One thing about Iggy is he's very humble. And from the look of things he's bringing his kids up the same way.
Yup, class act!
Ive met Jarome several times, a good friend of mine has been friends with him since his Kamloops days. Super nice guy. Seeing Tij playing here in Kelowna has been great. Jarome and Kara have raised some fine children.
He sure has!
Great Video
Thank you!
I worked on his house in Kelowna. Super down to earth dude.
Thats awesome!
Great 💯
Thank u!
Iggy, what a class act. I wish the best for his kids in their quest for hockey greatness
Truly one of the best!
The best thing about the NHL draft will be seeing the Calgary Flames select Tij Iginla and Jerome on stage presenting him his jersey with Connie!! Let's Go!!
That’d be special!
They'd have to move up to do it. No way Tij is still there at 9
@@AscendedXSaiyan We won't get him now .. The price to move up will be too much.. I predict Tij will go top 5 quite possibly Montreal
@@AscendedXSaiyan tij is at 20th overall
@@CLo-ly1ic As a habs fan, I want Tij at 5!
No mention of the Morenz / Geoffrion family as legacy name? Four generations in the NHl starting with Howie Morenz. Now that is history.
Also great family legacies!
Amazing video. Next video review gavin mckenna
Great idea!
As long as it’s not the Nurse family.
Coulda been…maybe, nah haha
as a flames fan i really how Tij comes to Calgary!
That’d be pretty awesome!
And Joe can go to Edmonton.
@@shawnwharry952what’d be so good for hockey
@@shawnwharry952 you better hope the Oilers fall apart enough to get a top 10 pick.
Hes going to flames
Would be pretty sweet if he did!
They'd have to move up though. He won't be there at 9
Joe and Gavin mckenna gotta be top 3 in 2026. They are gonna be sooooo sooooo good. Wonder if jade goes to the pwhl soon
Ya both looking nice! Jade should go in the PWHL draft this year
What about the other child? Are they a non-entity because they don't play hockey. Or are there talents elswhere?
Wasn’t aware he had a fourth child!
The Stastnys
Another great hockey family!
If I'm not mistaken, Jarome Iginla, who is of mixed race, was the first black athlete to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics. With all his NHL accolades, his World Jr Gold and tourney MVP, his, in conjunction with Sidney Crosby's OT heroics in Vancouver in 2010, etcetera, it will take some doing for any 'IGGY' progeny to eclipse what their father achieved. .
Speaking of father-son comparisons, some say, 'The Golden Brett' (Brett Hull) eclipsed father Bobby. It's close, but I disagree. Without bothering to look anything up, if you add Bobby Hull 's, Gordie Howe's, and Wayne Gretzky's NHL and WHA scoring totals, although Wayne still leads, they're reasonably close. I'm an old dog, who saw all of the above play. Hull SR was a far better skater, and had a harder shot than his son. To be fair, Brett Hull, who had the luxury of playing alongside Adam Oates, had the deadliest one-timer in NHL history. Man, could he snipe! Again it's close, but I'd have to give the edge (We're talking strictly hockey prowess here) to 'The Golden Jet'.
PEACE OUT
I dont think he was the first aftrican american athlete to win a gold medal… Great summary about the rest tho, agree! Thanks for the comment!
Iggy was the best power forward in NHL history.
Definitly one of the best!
I’m sure his wife was a huge roll managing the family as well! ?
Definitely! Behind every family is a strong mom ♥️
BRING IGGY HOME
Utah robbed him!!
Lmfao Royal Family 😂😂😂
Catchy right?? Lol
Nepotism is absolutely disgusting
Is it that or just…money…
Same thing
All these sons of X nhl players making it is beyond gross!!
Only a small % of players make it on actual talent these days the rest by name or daddy’s money
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
@@Man-oq6pfI know it's funny...it's almost like the majority of those players also made it on their talent!
@@AscendedXSaiyanvery few on talent
Majority on daddy’s money
And in these cases on daddy’s name
I don’t think you know how hockey works there bud
I grew up with super talented players who could skate circles around most
We just grew up on the wrong side of the tracks !
@@Man-oq6pf Oh I know how hockey works. It's too expensive for everyone to play, you'd have to have deep pockets, or connections to play at high levels.
Although there's quite a few who come from families that are currently in the NHL, who have *BOTH* the talent to actually be there, as well as the familial support
DEI has reached hockey too.
Sure has!
It's terrible
Lol if serious, what a stupid comment
You clearly haven’t watched a single second of hockey if you say DEI has reached hockey
