- Happy Birthday Shadow! Cannot believe that you turn 12 years old today!.
Well this will be your Birthday AMV this year. I apologize to the ones that are waiting for the Shadow The Hedgehog - Who I Am.
I haven't been able to finish that one, since I have been so busy with other AMV, MEP parts and School. And then I also haven't been in the best mood to work on it. but I will try to finish it now in summer at least and then upload it. So try to be patient ^^"
Instead I'll give you this AMV as a consolation prize.
I posted a teaser on it before where I told you the reason I made this "sad" AMV..The day before I started on this Amv a very close friend to my family passed away. she got very sick from a brain tumor. It was a hard blow for me and my family. So I felt like I had to do this amv.
So I started on this AMV the day after she died and I uploaded it the day before her funeral..
Anyway I really hope you will like this Video. I tried to make it sensitive with pretty much the same effects and of course the Japanese voice clips. since I think their japanese voices are the one with the most feeling in.
And There I have to give a big thanks to SonicWind88 for giving me the Japanese voice clips ^^ Thank you so much!

I always find myself coming back to this video and the Ghost of Our Love one. Shadow's backstory is so deep and tragic, I hope the next movie treats it with the respect it deserves.

Agreed. This is why shadow is my favourite character in all fiction. He is the deepest and most developed character in the whole sonic franchise and I love how he blurs the line between good and evil to near nonexistence in a series where good and evil are usually so obvious.

i honestly do have to say, that this video is the most emotional and touching one i have ever seen. it truly describes shadow's life and all of his sorrow and loss. also the mix using the instrumantal part and the japanese voice-over just gave me goosebumps and brought tears into my eyes. ;3
you really expressed your feelings and i am so sorry for the loss of your friend. but do never forget, she always will be there in your heart. she will never ever leave you.

I find it awesome and hilarious that the most emotional voice acting in sonic comes from a genre infamous for bad acting, and a character that is undeservedly stereotyped as an over the top edgelord.
At least there is one good thing about Sonic X.

You know, If Maria didn't die... Eggman might actually be the good guy, since one of the reasons Eggman became evil was because of Maria's , his own cousin's, death.

Funny that, when I feel alone and sad, I usually watch this AMV. Reading my own comment on this makes me think about three things: 1. That so SO true 2. I could say more than thousand good things about this AMV, I'll even say it's the best AMV I've ever watched, AND I MEAN IT! 3. Wow... My English from a year ago is really bad... I guess it's kinda OK because English isn't my first language but oh well. It's better now! :3 AND THIS AMV IS JUST PAWESOME.

Despite the fact I know the story (ish, not all the ins and outs but close enough), it's things like this that make me think I'll cry when I finally get round to playing Adventure 2. I did tear up watching Sonic X again because of Shadow and Maria

OMG, It's so amazing and moving. I started crying again while watching this, like I did when I saw it the first time. The feelings you had when making this MV really shows in the video and it surely shows how close you and your friend was. It really shhow much you cared for her and how much it must hurt to lose her. You and her shared many good moments and you should cherish them in your heart. She'll live on inside your heart and through this video.

I can relate so much... I have lost so many people, so many times, over and over again...
I understand how you feel about your friend, and on an even larger scale. It's annoying when people say"I'm sorry" or "you have my condolences", because it only makes you feel worse. I've lost so many people I've loved, so many tears I have shed... I do not want people to pity me for my losses, I want them to just leave me to my own devices, because I just might be able to work out everything in the end.
So basically, I'm saying that I know how you feel, and that I have lost people too, and that this AMVS absolutely breaks my heart. I love your AMVs, they are just so well done, and they all have song I can relate to. I always look forward to any new ones, and they've helped me through many things. The very first AMV I saw by you was Shadow the Hedgehog and Maria Robotnik - Numb, and it made me cry, it was so beautiful. Now I have discovered this amazing AMV by you, and there are tears in my eyes. Perfection at it's finest, from the Japanese Sonic X clips to the beautiful music playing throughout. It's sad what happened to shadow he lost Maria and she was his closest friend and then he scarfaced himself to save the world where Maria wanted to go but couldn't. And die so haters who hate shadow see that is villain and has been through a lot.

Wow, this is a great video! Can't believe I just randomly stumbled upon it now. I love it. So sad for Shadow. "My dream was broken by those people!" :( Also, I don't understand the hate on Sonic X? The heck. I liked Sonic X. It's how I got more into Sonic. Yeah, Chris sucks. And it ain't perfect, but what is. I watched the original Japanese with English subtitles, like they have here. It's much better, unless you just want to hear their voices in English also.
I also happened to stumble across this amv just a few months ago. Sorry to bother but do you happen to know where I could watch it in Japanese with the English subtitles? I've been wanting to watch it but I dont know where I can find that version.
