I have two of these on a taramps 3k smart amp and the amp keeps going into protect because it’s clipping, so it must be the amp because your putting 5k to one and it’s taking it. And the amp is getting 14v. So I think it’s safe to say it’s the amplifier messing around then.
8 inch is loud in a hatch back platform. My buddy had 2 eights in his 93 mustang and it hit hard. This was back in 94.
