I am crying for Caroline we called her Carol. She was my classmate and neighbour in medical university. Such a lovely girl. Always smiling, so so kind. God! The whole university was shocked to hear about her death. We din know much then but this feels so so sad. They din deserve such a traumatic death. Dr. Caroline had so much potential, beautiful life wasted in vain. May their souls rest in peace 🙏 and prayers for their loved ones.
SR pay this hit very close to home, hearing about brutal murder of a person I knew well and spent 6 years together as classmates . I will always remember her as a happy, kind and lovely girl, who loved helping everyone and also she loved purple, her entire room was decorated in purple. Thank you for being respectful towards the family while sharing this podcast.

He is the case of resistant Schizophrenia as his mental health was like neglected by his parents (primary caregivers) since childhood. In such psychotic cases, the patients/ Person doesn’t have any insight… This case is really awful.. During my residency, I came across a similar case where a 16 year old boy killed his entire family. All of a sudden because of his sudden anger outburst. The main diagnosis was conduct disorder. He was regretful of his actions.
But in this case unfortunately he will never regret

I have a family member who is schizophrenic and she is pretty apathetic towards her children. Even though she is under medication and therapy, she hardly empathises with anyone around her.

A family full of doctors, never even fathomed that their son is mentally ill and may need treatment and medicines.
It's quite hard to treat this condition sometimes the patient stop taking meds and their condition becomes worse.
Mom and dad both doctors still did not recognize mental issue with their own son.. Instead blaming him is what is more heart wrenching 💔❤❤
. Oh I remember when this case happened. it caused wildfire in Kerala. He was mistreated within his family. Like his sister was considered as the golden child. His diabolical persona was the topic of discussion everywhere.
This is what constant comparison does to a child's mental health.
Step 1 - parents compare
Step 2 - child loses his self confidence, and stays at home and isolates themselves from outside world " thinking that i am a looser, so nobody will be my friend"
Step 3: It gets worse.
Only in rare cases such children are able to recover from this trauma by pushing themselves out of the comfort zone and interacting with friends.

I know mental health is not an excuse for crimes but I have to say this (people will hate me for this). He was a loner since he was a child, he was not doing well in school, he was uninterested in most of the things but still his parents compared him to his sister, belittled him, forced him and never questioned once that there might be something wrong with their child. Even after being educated his parents forced him to something with his life meanwhile calling him stupid instead of getting him the mental health attention he required. I love my country, but the superstitions, lack of mental health awareness, judgement and hypocrisy is slowly making me hate my own country. He is a criminal but his parents were in equal fault for making him one.

Well mental health issues mostly have spectrums.......some people Have schizophrenia and some have Sevier....and also different people faces different kind of issues with schizophrenia.........and in this case the murderer was probably suffering from major issues and also he never got any help and was always left alone which worsened his mental state
