PS: the 'BL' stands for Blythe!
This naming method is used by Takara to label all the Blythe face molds, eg. EBL (Excellent Blythe), SBL (Superior Blythe), RBL (Radiance Blythe).
The label TBL (Taobao Blythe) was coined by Blythe collector Dr. Blythenstein and is often used to refer to fakes.

Its funny, I think the NBL girl looks a lot like an FBL, whereas the original fake Blythe just looks fake to me. I think in a line up it would be much harder to pick the NBL face out as a fake, whereas the other doll is so obviously not a real blythe. I don't know, that might just be me.

Oooh interesting! I have to admit, I’m not great at spotting fakes. Seeing results of a line up would be so fascinating, especially with newbies and more seasoned collectors
i have ordered one , she is so cute , i will probably sand her body a little with a super fine grain, she will be customized so I have no problem buying this kind of doll, I have 3 original blythe , so one that I completely destroyed at the very beginning of my hobby, I paid more than 80 euros for her, never again ! so I am very satisfied with the dolls from aliexpress.
And for the quality anyway there are many problems also with the original blythe: mechanism of the eyes which are damaged and no longer work, stains with dark clothes on the body and which are impossible to erase, and hair less soft and pretty than the fake ones and probably other problems over time if not left alone displayed in a display case.

Her body is like a really interesting combo of the obitsu and azone bodies, huh? I kind of like it but I do like the squish ones of the obitsu. Her scalp is basically like a radiance renew, which is interesting. And I noticed that with the neck doodad as well, because you get those on RR. I’m not sure if the t-bar is as chunky on RR but I feel like the one in my Scotty Mum was 🤔 very curious! Super appreciate your review, thanks so much!! 💖💖

Woolly Alpaca shes really cute! And so much fun to play with. Ahhhh the box was so sweet, it hurt to see it crushed up

Are the eye chips the same size as the other doll? I just bought one similar off Amazon. It's called a similar to neo blythe.

I definitely agree that she looks "faker" Than the fake blythes, I just received mine a few days ago and you could really tell she's a fake compared to a normal fakie blythe.
Btw, i opened her head and the reason she doesn't make a noise when you switch her eyes because the usual "white thingy" That makes the doll gaze is quite different 😆

@@plasticdays have to agree with the quality of the plastic making it look more fake, but I also noticed that her eyes is more almond shaped rather than the typical round eyes of blythe dolls 😃

I’ve heard that these newer fakes also no longer have the trademarks on the back of the head? I wonder if hasbro and Takara are beginning to take action against these dolls 😱
I have this doll and i can say that yes, they have no trademark in the back and i'm not sure why.
I also have this doll and it doesn't have the markings of a usual fakie blythes

BEWARE OF ALIEXPRESS. 2 months ago, i purchased a "fake Blythe" doll (very similar to this, but a matte face, and body felt more like the factory doll I was happy with from a well-reviewed ebay seller... However... the doll I purchased on sale for $45 was like a "bobble head" -- "broken neck" head would swing back and forth, and the company would NOT return any of my money....so guarantee. after I spent an hour uploading a video of "broken neck".... and another hour opening a claim, and continuing to check back. If you get a broken "BLYTH" doll... Aliexpress will NOT back up the buyer...
