Saw an arak upper ar a local shop recently. It is heavier than most complete ar15's and has a short gas system. Needs a mid length area gas system. Needs a better design of the barrel attachment using the front receiver lug. Needs to be 5.5 lb area . Needs the bolt and carrier redesigned. This thing should have been left in the past and the basic design idea used for a new , far intelligent design. This thing just doesn't cut it in the 2020's.

Love my Faxon Gunner 7.62x39 barrel so far. Would have liked an ARAK, but I built a monster instead. MAKE IT LIGHT and I’ll get one. I refused to own an AR with a rear T-handle. Stupidest idea ever. Wish you guys did Glock barrels in other calibers. Won’t be buying one in 9mm.
