Trevor is just her striking coach. A lot of people don’t realize this. So she’s probably going to end up listening more to what Pat is saying overall. Usually her team does a great job cornering her, but that last fight had bad corner work for sure.

It could therefore be the case that if Whitman was telling her she was winning and Pat told her she was losing that the fight would go differently. In other words, it is not necessarily the fact that it is easier to accept that you are winning that caused her to continue not fighting.
You could tell Rose was psychologically petrified of Carla from being dominated the first fight and she gave Carla way way to much respect the 2nd time around so much so she beat herself with her own inactivity.
