  • Putin Reportedly Sacked Russia's Navy Chief After Humiliating Setbacks in Black Sea
Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly sacked the commander-in-chief of the navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov. Several reports claimed that he was replaced by the commander of the Northern Fleet following setbacks in the Black Sea. Ukraine, armed with advanced weaponry, has said it has destroyed over two dozen Russian ships since the war broke out in February 2022. Russia has been forced to retreat in the Black Sea even as its forces make significant advancements through its land offensive.
