    I'm all for Brian's adjustment to the sisters (always pulling down & splitting the 5/9 first, followed by the 6/8) but the OCD math stickler in me can't get over the fact that both of you say "pull down the sister number first" opposed to saying "pull down either the 5 or 9 and split the other". The math is the same, just pick one! For simplicity I say "whatever number hits first, pull down the 5 and split the 9."

    You are chasing the long roll with this strategy. The more you spread the same amount of money over more numbers, the lower your ROI, return on investment, becomes. Across betting is risking six bets trying to win one, because one bet at a time is all you can win with place bets; but you can lose 6 bets all at once.
    Betting across, with my best set for winning the most betting across, gives me only 2.45% ROI. Place betting same total amount on just a single number, using my best sets for that number, got me from 16.84% ROI on the an inside number to 25.93% ROI on buy4 or buy10 over my last week's logged rolls.

      Isn't spreading to the 4/10 similar to a typical press? Which most systems teach? Besides we are partially pulling down our bets after the 2nd and 3rd hit to get out of the hand. There aren't too many systems that have you out the hand with $160 Profit spread within 3 hits.

      I don't hop that much either, but If I lay out a big sum up front like this strategy, its damage control, and its only the first roll after point. In your video, a POS happened at least twice... I am not saying hop every time, I usually go with intuition.

    Is playing a regression strategy like this good while on the don't pass as a hedge for the 7?

  • @michaelbitter7682

    What do you feel is yout top strategy to play for real? Don't pass, split sisters light side, squeeze sisters... something else?

      It's definitely a regression... I have a Video called my Go To.. it literally is my #1 strategy I play 80% of the time...

      @michaelbitter7682 Před 9 měsíci

      @markthepoint "ride or die" video? Is the what you meant by "go to"?
      I just watched it. This regression is very similar to split the sisters (in that you're trying to get to casino money in two hits) but if I get it right with your strategy you have less invested upfront? Is that the main difference?
      i.e. if I want to play $110 inside with split the sisters, I start with $220 inside, but with your ride or die I start with $110 with same end result?

  • @robertgomez6223

    Question, why not place the 4.. you said you bought! What is the difference? Thxs

    • @markthepoint
      @markthepoint  Před 7 měsíci

      When you buy the 4/10 you get paid True Odds... But it cost you 5% vig or $1 /$20 bet.
      Most West Coast Casinos are auto buy at $20... East Coast you pay the vig upfront.

    • @jpchan23
      @jpchan23 Před 3 měsíci

      To elaborate more if you place the 4 or 10 for $20 and it rolls you would get paid $36. If you buy the 4 or 10 for the same $20 if it rolls you would get paid $40 minus the vig of $1. Worse case on a pay vig first if seven comes you are out 21 instead of 20 buy verse place.

    I have rolled this out many times on Wizard of Odds and virtually lost the $1000 every time. Having said that, most strategies I test do. Don't know if Wizard of Odds is skewed or what, but just get killed all the time following winning strategies shown on CZcams. Anybody ever found a strategy that seems to win a good percentage of the time?

    • @markthepoint
      @markthepoint  Před 9 měsíci +1

      @mcchacho1 All craps strategies bleed to Zero. Craps is a negative game. There is not one that will ever win... That's why Time at the table is critical... Get into profit and go home.. the more time you spend at the table the more of a bleed. House Edge will always take over.
      While I do show winning strategies that make money... Every Strategy will lose eventually... That's why table's have a Table max.. Because if not, you have endless Bankroll you can just martingale until it wins.. The casino knows that and puts limits for that very reason...
      Great Question!!!

    • @mcchacho1
      @mcchacho1 Před 9 měsíci

      @@markthepoint Thanks for the reply. I have been studying craps and practiced dice influence tossing until I got an injured shoulder. Love the game and trying to be smart enough and skilled enough to play and break even or better. Agree that it's an negative expectation game and you will lose in the long run. Need to get in profil and hit the road, but it seems you always go down early and trying to come back vs. playing the short game. Wouldn't play if it wasn't so much fun.

    • @adamhutton4165
      @adamhutton4165 Před měsícem

      Wizard of Odds isn't skewed. It's the most accurate real play craps simulator available. I'm a statistician and use this and other modeling software at least an hour a day. You only stand a chance of profit by playing the don'ts. I have a way of playing that I've been playing since 2005 (which I share with no one) that is about 87% effective but it's only playing the don'ts and lay bets. I'm up high six figures since 2005 but you have to understand money management to do this. I play in AC where I have access to many casinos. Vegas is great also but I'm on east coast and only play cash. Remember, if your cash winnings are $10k or more at cage, there is paperwork. Better to buy in for between $2,500 and $5k and keep your final cage amount less than $10k. Then go to another casino and rinse and repeat. Playing against the 7 (the most common number on the table) is a fools game. Make the 7 your friend.

    Times and go home

      Well I disagree. Yes it is a very hard game to play. But if you learn to manage your investment, get out of the hand early. and leave while in profit, Then you can be successful. But long-term yes craps can lose you a lot of money if not managed correctly... That I can agree with!
