I always tried using the sun to determine which way I was heading but always felt like I was heading slightly diagonal when trying to reach a destination. You confirming the sun is in the Southern Hemisphere was such helpful news and I can put my theory to rest. Thank you!

You can also use the wind! I’ve found in Cherno looking at the trees that the wind always blows juuuuust a little left (south) of southwest.

Can definitely say that the Compass being in your hotkey menu gives so VERY mixed results, I'm not took keen on relying on it. It will actively move as you turn, but you'll find more often than not, when you take it out, the needle fully seems to correct itself.
I just got torn apart by a pack of wolves right when I got to my destination after finally figuring out where I was.

Best directional video for new players! I pre annotated emojis of clouds on the East and Stars on the West and a Sun on the bottom for South made my life easier
