Example You have Disk0 and Disk 1, The Disk 0 partition style type is MBR (Master boot record)
and the Disk 1 partition style type is GPT (GUID Partition Table)
if you want to install Windows on Disk 0, on MBR partition
you have to boot your bootable USB in Legacy mode
and if you want to install Windows on Disk 1, on GPT partition
you have to boot your bootable USB in UEFI mode.

I got this error 1:14 with an mbr disk and having my bios set to legacy first.. I don't understand it
So your disk is MB or GPT?
If MBR go to Legacy if GPT go to UEFI that's all

@@shaconstantine Yes, your BIOS may be in Legacy but find and check USB boot options in BIOS, there may be different. You should change priority From UEFI to Legacy. and if bootable USB is created in Rufus, that also may be a reason. So also check USB if it is in MBR:) it's maybe GPT

@@mmktut I always installed windows 10 on this MBR disk without a problem, but suddenly this error appeared out of nowhere I don't know why. I never changed boot mode in bios, it's always been Legacy first. I created a bootable USB (which is MBR - does it matter too?) using Media Creation Tool. I've bought an ssd disk, which is GPT and managed to install windows there. I just wonder why this error suddenly appeared for no reason if bios is set to Legacy first, and the disk is MBR..
@@shaconstantine IF you are sure that your hard drive is MBR and BIOS set in Legacy, then try to FIX bootable USB. Format your USB and try to crate bootable it using Rufus and choose NTFS, MBR, and Legacy.

Hi, First of all, back up your files!
to repair errors and scan for bad sectors
1. open cmd as admin
2. type command: chkdsk D: /r
Note: D: is the letter of the drive you’d like to run a scan for, e.g. C: or D:
Second: repair errors without scanning for any bad sectors, type in cmd:
chkdsk C: /f
Note: C: is the letter of the drive you’d like to run a scan for, e.g. C: or D:

You are assuming that my window is intact and bootable.. I am unable to boot hence i am reinstalling and getting this error
