Stephen, I read the comments about Milroe, and I got to agree that what I saw didn't impress me. However, unlike some of these fake Bama fans making really negative comments about players, they don't understand this was a spring football game and not fall camp. The offense and defense both will eventually get better the more they practice together and develop a rhythm. The defense didn't look good during the first half of the game, but during the second half of the game, they started improving and making plays. I read one commit that stated, " Georgia is going to kill us." It is obvious that individual did not watch the Georgia spring game. I simply hate fake Alabama fans because as long as the team is winning, they are cheering and happy. Stephen, you have proven to be one of the best Bama media insiders in college football, and that is a fact. Your name constantly comes up on different college football podcasts as the go-to guy when it comes to Bama football. So keep up the good work. Roll Tide from True Bama Nation.
I’m not basing my thoughts on the egg day at all that was just another sample of his inability to read defenses, not panic in the pocket and accurately throw a short intermediate pass. The long pass down the middle should’ve been knocked down by the defender. The one to the outside could’ve been offensive pass interference, but I’ll give them that one.. And he did have a couple of drops he’s not better than any of the last five quarterbacks we’ve had
Ty Simpson was 7 of 12 and 102 yards. But we know that doesn't get talked about.
The older A Day games were better in my opinion
Milroe will absolutely be the starting quarterback and it has nothing to do with him being the best quarterback. People hanging their hat on those too long throws one of which should’ve been knocked down by the defense back and the other one was a push off by the receiver. Did his receiver drop a couple passes? Yes He also overthrew one that should’ve been picked off. His accuracy and ability to read defense is decent at best.
Jalen Milroe has the 2nd best passing % of throws 20 or more yards downfield in the country. Jayden Daniels was #1 and had 2 1st round WRs while Milroe had 1 3rd round WR……..
Yes, he heaved the ball down the field and his receivers were able to run under it he can’t complete a 10 yard pass with accuracy

He had one bad ball. Some of his passes were dropped that he put right on the receiver. The three that were completed were dimes to playmakers.

@@Univeralas first one to 5 would be intercepted in a game, MM stood and watched. the second one to 5, 5 pushed off and the announcers even said it, Henderson across middle was wide open and ball was 3 feet behind him, one to young ball was behind him and at his feet. the one to Hampton was hit by DB. People see this, saying it's not true doesn't work.
@@stanleywatson6115 everyone can see it, but a few channels on CZcams the catch by Bernard would have been INT if we were playing in a game, MM stood there and watched 5 catch it.

A QB can't throw the ball and catch it too, and there is a difference going against the first team D and going against guys that won't be getting any playing time.
Kane Wormack is being smart and not showing out in the A-day game for a reason, and from the looks of these comments, his strategy is definitely working.

I rewatched it and to me in the 2nd half they played better but they didn’t want to show much from what I’ve been hearing bc they definitely didn’t blitz that much

Let me ask you a question, spring games always have higher passing numbers because it is more exciting for fans, but KD did everything opposite, it was a running exhibition, WHY?

Receivers dropped 3-5 passes. From the comments, most of which look to be trolls, missed this I guess. Just a reminder this was a scrimmage game meaning everything was vanilla. The offensive line was patch work plus as with all spring games a lot of the young inexperienced players are playing.

He was 3 of 9 passing, and one was a circus catch on a bad throw in a scrimmage where the defense cant touch him. He is simply too slow on his reads, and he struggles with identifying simple coverages.
How many SEC games has Milroe lost?If he is so terrible, why was he sixth in the Heisman voting last year and one of the favorites this year?
Hard to lose when you had a top defense in country last season you do under stand we averaged about 10 3 and outs per game last season everyone wants to praise milroe but know one wants to praise the defense for actually keeping us in the games

Steve, did you watch the same game. Milroe had 2 good throws but otherwise did not do well. Simpson looked like the better passer, so let’s really leave the QB1 competition open! I think Simpson leaves, since everyone wants Milroe, and Simpson is good enough to start, even at Bama.

Milroe is the same Milroe from last season. He’s not going through his reads and progressions.

Milroe is the best athlete on the field he needs to improve on his decision making and intermediate passes. Ty Simpson played well. Jam Miller is that guy.
