I was literally waiting for reservations for this ryokan to be available in october and in my head i literally thought “i wished travelgeek would review this ryokan”. And suddenly i see a video appear one hour ago??? Luckyyyy!
It's synchronicity magic. Happened to me once on youtube too. I wished to hear a specific type of cover of one song, and it magically came to me. Anyway, just want to say: have a nice trip.
Technically it's cell phone magic, the phones use quartz which is a great all purpose stone in metaphysics. Basically the crystal picks up on your thoughts and brings it to the device for you to see. Sort of like a metaphysical algorithm but also not 😊.
@@TheKen82815 Sorry late reply! Yea I managed to book my 2 nights for October at this ryokan. I'm super excited. There's two tours, one for the ryokan tour and I think they also have a morning tour for hot spring facilities! I can't wait! :D
I’ve never been where you go, but thanks to your videos, I’ve already been there with you. It's nice to know, living 6,500 nautical miles to the west, that there is an opportunity to learn more about the world around. Thank you, thank you for these wonderful moments. 😊🍜
This is so cool. They take the history of the building seriously, and it has SO MUCH visual interest and appeal. It feels authentic and not too dressed up.
I find your videos so interesting. I do not think I could get my old body up off the floor after sleeping there. But then again, I do not have access to all those wonderful hot spring baths. I would be so pruney if I lived near there because I'd be in the hot springs all the time. Do they smell like sulfur? The few hot springs I have been to in the USA (California ones) smelled like rotten eggs. Even your urine will smell like that for a few days afterwards. The snow monkeys were incredible. I love how everyone (tourists and locals alike) all stay on the marked paths and do not try to interact or interfere with the monkeys. Here in the US, we have too many stupid entitled people who would try to put them in their bags and taken them home with them.
It was an interesting video..Nagano is one of the places in Japan that I failed to explore during the time that I've worked in Japan..one day, when I got the chance,Nagano for sure will be first on my list..❤❤❤
7:22 that's what im thinking too! It feels and looks grandparents house. But at the same time looks eerie 😅 it feels like someone will hunt you. I guess its because of the old furniture and interior since its been 200 years since the hotel stablished. Its still cool and great experience staying in this kind of hotel.
I love this place. been staying at shibu onsen for many years. Not in this Ryokan, but the one across of it, Kokuya Ryokan. Beautiful town Yamanouchi and yudanaka station.
Hi. Well this was a very interesting video. So many unique things in Japan. Thank you for letting me come along. I got scissors, I win! 😂 God bless and stay safe.🙏🏻💖from Canada 🇨🇦
What a beautiful place and I loved your hotel too. We have hot springs where I live too but no monkeys. I have seen your macaques in pictures and on documentaries at those hot springs and they are quite famous and adorable. Really enjoyed watching!
Watching from Canada 🇨🇦 What a fascinating video of a very old hotel. To see the baths, the hot springs and the monkeys was so interesting. Your videos are a wonderful way to see Japan, as I know I shall never get to visit this amazing country. This is the second of your videos that I have watched and I shall watch more, for sure. Thank you!
I agree, I wouldn’t have known to put the egg yolk in the rice and pour the white sauce on top. I like watching because I can learn how dishes go together and how you eat them.
Ohh I wanna go there! Very Spirited Away vibes! And the monkeys are cute but I think I’d break my legs trying to walk that ice path 😅 ty for the video!
Wow!!! Except for the nasty looking food. This was one of the most interesting fascinating places that I've ever seen. The unique hotel looks just like the Japanese houses I've seen in movies. The monkeys bathing in the hot springs was outstanding. Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us.

I know I'm not the only one who immediately clicks on a travelgeek video when he posts

Wonderfull and exciting!
Fascinating! What an interesting hotel!
I'd love to try a traditional Japanese meal, but I'd be terrified of eating the wrong thing the wrong way at the wrong time!
It isn't that serious. Food is food. Eat when you are hungry.
I agree, I wouldn’t have known to put the egg yolk in the rice and pour the white sauce on top. I like watching because I can learn how dishes go together and how you eat them.
First time i had 🍣 i ate the wasabi ball first and thought idied 😂😂
