In my opinion , Chip won last year with " Flowers " . There was entirely too much maturity in that song . You can't follow that up with some feature on somebody else's song and then not really say anything . He lost back in February ( atleast to me ) .
Now he comes back 2 whole seasons after 10 commandments dropped with another feature on somebody else's song again .
That's cornball behavior . And he still didn't say anything worth remembering .
Maybe because I'm not British I might be missing something . But , for the life of me I can't understand why Chip is being painted as the bad guy or clout chaser when he seems to be consistently minding his business until you breathe in his direction . Meanwhile , Stormzy is being praised for indirects and sneak diss verses on features .
What part of hip hop is that ???
People are only backing his success and celebrity . SMDH ....
Nothing to say about Dave . He's extremely talented , but he's also very young . So it is what it is from him.

Chip is doing it for the culture. Grime like Hip Hop at it's core is a sport. End of. There is room like every art form for many viewpoints. But at it's core it is a sport, we about that battling and sound clashing. People need to stop pretending it isn't. Great that artists like Dave and Stormzy could advance the culture from a chart perspective but they ain't about the real heart of the culture. Chip just keeping it 💯 and making sure they stay in their lane. The road need a Chip way more and he ain't no roadman.

This is literally the best reaction I’ve seen on this whole situation. The detail, the knowledge and the understanding that you both have is TOP TIER!!! Plus, the colourism topic is so true, for some reason having a light skinned girl by your side as a famous rapper is just as flashy as having a Rolex or Bentley. Sixteen, don't battlerap.” Chip is known for that legendary freestyle on Westwood when he blew up at that age.
Dave is also lip syncing bars sending for Chip so he knows what he’s doing he isn’t innocent. 😂

But he was speaking from an American perspective . Over here , even though they try and project this whole new age , interracial dating atmosphere . Statistically ,most black americans are married to black americans . And that comes from a history of being chased down and killed or hung for even being suspected of looking in a white womans direction .
Whereas , over there interracial dating seems to be very common . I read an article that said that about 30% of the black men in the UK are married to white women . That's not america .
So it just seems alittle peculiar that something so common is constantly highlighted in the lyrics over there . I don't know , maybe you can add some insight ...

There was a lot of racism throughout the late 40s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. There still is racism now and interracial relationships frowned upon by some in the White community it's only really the past 20 - 25 years where interracial relationships seem very normal. Then if you take into context in the UK just like in America mainstream media push the agenda of interracial relationships and White women or lightskin women being the standard to go for. It's all subconsciously programmed into young minds from early. However when one digs deep the people who really control America are the ones that control Britain and the majority of the world where colourism is also a problem. The common denominator is the colonisers. But their evil reign is coming to an end. ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

Yeah colourism is unfortunately a thing to the point that some artists feel the need to mention who they like. Men that do it are immature unless there is context like making a point. However it is a problem that definitely needs to be solved.

I do have some questions with the artist he features on though. For sure storms has some bangers, makes some big money maker tunes no doubt. Unfortunately It does appear that his success is causing him to develop a condition which is impairing his ability to assess himself accurately. For me thats the only explaination for thinking he can clash with chip.
