Justin & Dan : First, thank you for this. As a traditional artist in my 50's, it is sad to see technology like this being pushed on the public and devaluing the art profession. True artists will continue with developing their skills. It is the ignorant uneducated ,that artists have to worry about, because they often don't see the skill and long hours it takes to produce great art. "Just keep painting" is good advice. I hope Muddy colors keep putting out more videos. We need to keep educating Artists and the public. That is the only way we can get the message out.

IMO the clients that want to replace you with Ai never wanted to pay you or valued your work for its own sake. SD 1.5 is good enough to replace most artists to meet the needs of these types of clients. No regulation is ever going to undo that or stop it in the future. Artists will have to have more in their gas tank than just making art out of pragmatism or simply aspiring to be the next Wotc/Blizzard/Disney artist. I'm probably wrong and that's fine too.

If someone steels your art - they are not helping you

While I agree with a lot of main points expressed, I kind of feel there is an element of art-type class politics here which isn't great for unifying. When talking about DA you mentioned how pornographic art was a genre that made it worse. Later when talking about Amazon Fan-Fiction was mentioned as being bad (albeit maybe because it was AI generated?).
Explicit artwork has existed since the dawn of humanity and has been tackled by many a venerated artists. Fan-fiction has often been a ground for authors to experiment and grow their abilities. Both still require skill. Be mindful that a lot of artists would look down on your work as "genre art". It's not the time to play respectability politics, we need to unify as an artist community in spite of our chosen subjects. Keep up the good fight ✊✊
BTW Cara sadly won't work in the same way as social media because it is purely a platform for artists.
