- I vividly remember the first time Mike played Move to Bremerton for us. We were in Dothan, Alabama waiting for the venue to open so we could load in our gear. He grabbed his acoustic guitar, sat down in the back of the trailer and said, “check out this new song I wrote”. We loved it from the first listen. It perfectly captured what we were feeling at that moment. He had figured out the formula for long-distance love; Move to Bremerton!

I just visited Bremerton for the first time. I want to move to Bremerton, it's beautiful.
Even till this very day it still trips me out that Mike is the singer bass player of the band when his guitar skills are soo good. The singer bass player element is so rare it makes MxPx stand out. Not just as a punk band but in rock music in general it’s rare to see that.
I clearly remember buying the "Move to Bremerton" Single/EP. Awesome times. Still awesome!

My favorite song, I remember bouncing around the halls of school (Chino High School, California). Last year, my husband's work moved us up to Mukilteo, Washington. Our 1st Saturday up here, he surprised me, took the Edmonds Ferry and spent the day in Bremerton.
After living up here for almost 60 years, I still find someone's "dream trip" destination of Bremerton hilarious.

One of the best Christian bands out there
In this performance , why didn’t they sustain all the vowel sounds like they do in the studio version? (Example: “pack your bags and run awaaaayyyy” in the studio version compared to “pack your bags and run away” here.) Those sustains add a lot to the song. The song feels a little empty without them.
