    People should also look closer at their bills and note that this meter gives you the base cost but your bill is also full of fee's that are also calculated using your total kWh for that billing period... example my last bill was $92 based on usage but another $82 in what I'm summarizing as "fee's" but you can see it on your own bill... in my case that's an additional 89% of the usage!
    When using a watt meter like this, if I calculated my cost to run something will be say $4.00/mo? It's really going to be more like $7.56/mo after all those "fee's" on your bill are factored in... hope that helps someone else plan / save some skrilla!

      Ya - a usage meter, not a 'fee' meter! Heh.

    I have the killa watt Flex p3, However I unplug it and nothing resets. There is no Reset Button on it. I unplugged it and went to bed. woke up plugged it in, and still had the same usage hours and "$ Money Spent" How can I reset this? I also Held Down Every Button, Quick Unplug and Plug back in, and it keeps just Adding to the calculations before. ( i got this 12/10/23) so you got a new one because old one would retain memory?

    Do you recommend the Kill-a-watt over cheaper/more basic watt meters?

    • @BeatTheBushDIY
      @BeatTheBushDIY  Před rokem +3

      Honestly, I cannot say just yet. I will be comparing a cheaper one to this one soon.

      I saw a few cheap ones started to burn, scorch, melt on the cheaper ones. I’d say pay an extra $20 for this brand.

    kill a watts are crap. they burn out at 13+ amps despite being certified for 15. space heater? ac? all the things you really need to know about so you can better manage them? it will burn it out guaranteed.

      Huh. I suppose I typically only measure such high current for a minute or less.

      No such thing as a space heater that runs on electricity. They are the heater equivalent of a jet engine.
