Black Letter Law???? Please... If the US followed "Black Letter Law" as the general stated, Israel would have been cut off from weapon shipments since 1965. IF the US followed it's own laws we'd have avoided a number of conflicts and prevented the deaths of probably millions of civilians but the law it seems only applies to other "lesser nations"

The war strategy is not explained in the western media. This is a war only comparable to WW2 in magnitude and political significance. the general must himself know that this is a war of attrition where the frontline is secondary. So the result defends on the resources and logistics provided by the west to Ukraine and not when another counteroffensive can start! Generals need to be more educated to explain the war. This is why journalist asks silly question about an exit strategy. There was no an exit strategy in WW2.
So when are they going to start testing out the air raid sirens again?
Russia waited 8 years 2014 to 2021 asking to talk and were continually and systematically ignored. The UK, Germany abs USA had their chance - exceedingly and copiously - and it is just a little too late now, to put it ridiculously lightly.

What most people in the US don't know is that the US government was arming and funding Ukraine since 2014. $60 billion isn't going to make a difference. Russia will continue to advance.
Russia was already struggling against a weakened Ukraine despite a peak in production of military hardware.
Russia isn't going to advance, especially if he keeps losing 16,000 troops for each settlement.
Breathing room for Europe to get it's act together and step up. Also Russia doesn't have infinite weapons and may run out of old weapons in 2025. Russia doesn't have infinite manpower. It has plenty more than Ukraine but not infinite
