As a retired teacher, I know that fractions are difficult for many people ( adults and young people alike.) You did a great job of explaining the ruler and layering sizes. Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
I agree! I wish Connie had been my math teacher way back when!!! 😊
It was my pleasure to help. I am glad you found it useful.
You just made me giggle.
Thank you so much for this video. I have never seen anyone explain so well the ruler and the card measurements. I just printed out the sheets and will do the label with cardstock as you demonstrated on the video. Love the idea!! :)
Connie- This information is very excellent information for anyone that creates cards. It would work for especially new card makers that are learning ideas for cards. I also think for all card makers that sometimes are trying to figure out how to change up a card to make something a bit different that these would work out perfect to inspire new ideas for them to create. Thank you for all the work you put into your videos to not only teach people but you prepare them to be able to make these & label them to make save them to use over & over. Thank you for sharing your talents with others that are struggling to get going. You are a terrific paper crafter & a great team leader to help so many people . 👏👏👏💕🌻
Judy, you are always so kind and encouraging. Thank you for your kind words.
Judy- I TOTALLY agree! 🙂
What a great video! Labeling the different sizes is brilliant. I can’t believe no one has ever done this before❤
Right?! I am glad it was helpful.
Connie thank you for taking the time to create and show us this. Would you also have a layering guide for card size 5x7🙏
You are very welcome. I do not make that size of card, but I think you could use the same idea and create one.
Connie- this is great!! You are so clever. The labeling idea is really genius. This will save me so much time when designing cards to see the subtleties of various borders. Until now I've just been going between 1/8 and 1/4! THANK YOU!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much Connie👏👏. This tutorial has been extremely helpful. I couldn’t find the download so I typed up the info, cut out the templates and used small removable sticky labels to stick on the sizes. You have helped many confused newbies with this tutorial. Very grateful ❤🌺🦋🕊
This makes me so happy to know it helped.
I can not thank you enough for this tutorial. As a beginner this will be so helpful!
I'm so glad!
Great video. Thank you. So very helpful! I don't usually have difficulty with fractions, but when I'm tired my brain doesn't work so well. These tips are so very helpful. Thanks again!!!!

I’m so so glad you shared this I have a horrible time with measurements. Thank you so much again.
You are so welcome!
The older I get, the harder it is to read the tiny lines on the SU trimmer! I printed out your “How to read a ruler” from several years ago but since the trimmer numbers go from right to left, we need to reverse the numbers and the tiny lines when using it. Maybe the extra labels to go on the templates will help me with that. You always do a great job!
That is so nice of you to say. The label idea is a good one.
Thank you so much for the tutorial and printouts!!!
Happy to share.

So you read minds too? Spent entire afternoon yesterday making a swing card BUT my rectangle die is 2-7/8” NOT same as your 2-3/4” instructions die. Y3p-math on edith’s and sixteenths long forgotten. 😂 At bedtime almost convinced myself difference in that small die for the swing pieces may not matter. And here you are again with another card assist handout. Thank you AGAIN!
You are very welcome. I am glad this is helpful.
Excellent video, and fantastic printout. Thank you so much. It is amazing how many don't understand how to read a ruler. So sad. It makes it so much easier to see it drawn out and pictures like that. You're the best!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, Thanks!
My pleasure.
Connie, thank you for taking the time to explain some very important basics. I get my 8ths and 16ths confused and never took the time to figure it out. I would say in my mind, 2 lines before 4 inch. Ok so now I understand that means 3 7/8. The layering borders are a great idea. I am definitely downloading your information sheet. Thank you!
Same!!!!!
@@misscoconutgirl yay! We both learned a new trick! 😊
Glad it was helpful!
