I hope no one watches this without also seeing the "Amy" documentary.
or they dont have to watch the documentary.
Yes, the 2015 one not the one her parents did called “reclaiming Amy”
I mean watch em both but defo watch the “amy” one
I’ve seen the doc at least 10 times and I loved it so going into the movie I will try to be open minded. (Waiting for the US release)
I didn't watch the documentary. I just saw this movie is in the cinema I went immadiately, my heart was telling me to go
Me & My Best Friend Sam Taylor Johnson is Great Director. my new Makeover is Greatest.
This movie doesnt tell the whole story...
Guys, show up "Amy" the Documentary and watch this, before or after the film.. its important
Marisa sounded great in her role as Amy in my opinion! I really enjoyed to hear and see her in the cinema and diving into the imagination that it's Amy! Great job from everyone involved in the movie! 👏🏻
My kids recently learned of her and want to see this movie. I showed them the trailer. But tell me, adult to adult, is there sexual scenes, nudity (not counting the tattoo) in this movie? If yes, too bad they'll have to stay home.
Yes there have been, not directly with Marisa but some "nude scenes" have been inside it, even if they've been short ✌🏻
Yep me and my sister watched it last night it was great . Felt like it was a bit rushed throughout and that it could’ve showed Amy from a child and what made her have such strong attachment issues , but apart from that it was fantastic and emotional .
Stop lying
Got it. My kids will stay home then. But I’ll go see it for sure! 😁😎
I really enjoyed the film, as just a film. I think Amy was so loved we wanted to actually see Amy .
The singing was the one let down, if I was at home I’d have fast forwarded
This movie did nothing to honor Amy. It simply showed how she was abused by the industry and her turning to substances to medicate and deal with all of the stress the media was causing her.
I am emotional. This movies about iconic singers should be made.
Amy dawson has been learning how to sing for SIX YEARS!!!! How much she gonna make on that XMAS ALBUM!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤️❤️❤️🎤🎤💕💕
Astonishing performance. Had me in tears at times. Really amazing actor.
Marisa Did a great job and make me feel i was seen Amy
Dale and the guys re-recordings are flawless , as are the sets a great tribute in the film.
Marisa did her performance really well, and she can definitely sing! but if you want the whole story and a proper biopic, "Amy" is the one to watch. rip amy 🖤
I Love This Movie Story About a Tribute To Icon.
Backing Vocals Shivers my spine.
AMY DAWSON NEEDS TO START MAKING HER WINEHOUSE CHRISTMAS ALBUM WITH HER PRINCESS VOCALS!!!💕😘❤️❤️❤️❤️🎤👑
Marisa was phenomenal! She captured Amy so beautifully. She didn’t do a caricature of her she really shone a light on Amy’s ferociousness and vulnerability is a mesmerising way! What a talent Marisa is!
Brilliant film brilliant actress
3:07 That is so touching. Beautiful. Wow
Great movie!
I thought Marisa was really good, but just too slow at Amy's speech pattern. Amy was proper london with a sharp wit and fiesty
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
£30 million has been spent on trying to stop someone winning an Oscar. That’s called history right there
She can obviously sing, but Amy was effortless. From the clip scenes I've seen, I think it sounds strained. They either needed to dub Amy's voice in, cast someone else, or dub in a singer. Audrey Hepburn's singing was dubbed in My Fair Lady (many, many older musicals have ghost singers.)
She’s not straining. She’s just singing with a straight tone while Amy utilizes more vibratto. Marisa has more of a pop sound while Amy’s was more jazz.
It’s more of a ‘dying cat’ sound, while The Princess of Hollywood has an angelic sound. She’s the next Mariah❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@forestdukes7545 Based off your description, I can tell you have no music background/education. Grow up and actually have a respect for art. Maybe then you won’t have such a stick up your bum.
If you had dubbed Amy’s voice in… a disconnect emotionally..? Sorry, that’s bogus. How do you think people connected with her emotionally??… I strongly disagree and still feel they should have let Amy do her own music. No disrespect to the actress.
Exactly, any hope of getting immersed is ruined by her voice
And the fact she blames it on "not having Amy's exact voice".. compared to just not being a good singer who started singing 3 months prior to production.. how disrespectful!?
She's very narcissistic in all her interviews.. wrongfully confident!
I don’t think you understand what she’s trying to say… it wouldn’t be as authentic a performance if the actress was just lip syncing to Amy. If she sings the words herself she is connecting to it more.
@@D__03 No, I understood that, but that’s part of an actors job, which is to connect to said parts emotionally. I guarantee if they actually tried it out, it would have worked. JLo did it with Selena… Bohemian Rhapsody they used Freddy’s voice. It sounds like they wanted to do a budget cut more than anything. I’m just saying, it should have been Amy’s voice. This would have been a chance to reintroduce her music to a newer generation of peeps. That’s all I can say. Play the artist, but let them sing their own music.
They’re saying a disconnect for the actress while portraying Amy; not for the audience’s listening
@@Astoldbysomeginger again, it’s an actors job to connect to it all emotionally. That would be like saying JLo should have sang all of Selena’s music. I just personally disagree.
I wanna know how the actress who played her sing like her. Did she train for a long long time?!
I'm Just Thinking About Marking My Own Movie Biopic About Christina Grimmie Starting Olivia Rodrigo
Really enjoyed the movie. So talented but not surrounded by true friends.
They tried to make me to go to rehab and I said no, no, no. If you are a fan, finish this lyrics 😢
Yes I’ve been black but when I come back you will know, know, know
@@ThemeParkGamer5 I ain’t got the time, and if my daddy thinks I’m fine
They tried to make me go to rehab, I wont go, go, go.
I'd rather be at home with Ray
I ain't got seventeen days
There's nothing, there's nothing you can teach me
That I can't learn from Mr. Hathaway
I didn't get a lot in class, but I know it don't come in a shot glass
It wasthe wros t movie of Amy
I I don't think Amy would approve of someone trying to imitate someone else's voice even if it's in order to "capture the emotion". Really? How can you say her voice is irreplaceable and at the same try to find that same emotion in someone else's voice? Is that even possible? You imagine someone trying to sing like Janis Joplin for a film, for example? It would as awful. Sorry but acting has its limits.
You mean Jackie Jorp Jomp? Starring Jenna Maroney
Maria Arabella, the glass slipper doesn’t fit your foot, it’s CINDY’S! czcams.com/video/qhkonXwjyHQ/video.html ❤❤
Can Amy Dawson sing? Did she audition for this? Did she turn it down, what happened?
WTF is "Amy Dawson"??
She deserves several Oscars
history is written to say it wasn't my fault.
2:11 O my God. 🥺 Really?!
Caricature. All that needs to be said.
She sounded amazing. Literally like real Amy Winehouse
How
why do ppl do professional interviews while holding mugs?
I know.. rude!!
😂
Does this film have any nudity in it ?
Hated it
Yawn
These people reek of NPD. Grandiose delusions. We just have to keep it going all the way to the Oscars. Get on on CZcams and release a Christmas album😂
Somebody black needed to be involved with the movie cuz yall getting some stuff wrong
