Please tell me Best athletics track events training program book
Should we do 1200 metres or 1 km repeatition in off season then?
You briefly mentioned that 400m sprinter is doing longer runs in the off-season. What is best off-season work to prepare for this in-season training?
You can do repeat 450ms and progress that to 350m as competition season comes closer
Off season Plyo??? Crazyyyy
I can't seem to break thru the wall around 300m.
I can run 300m in 38 seconds but the last 100m, it takes me close to 20 seconds. I hit a wall around 300m where I get so tired and gassed out. I attempted running less harder, and a bit longer to build endurance but it doesn't seem to be working. Any tips thanks
Can you make video on 100 m workout split ❤
@@lyfestyleathletics sir your videos help me alot in improving my performance, and you even made a dedicated video on improving running foarm that helps me alot , thanks for your help ❤️
How many track workouts per week, and how many of them are pure speed vs speed endurance?
Great question 4 days per week 2 days speed 1 day race prep 1 day specific endurance
@@lyfestyleathletics I appreciate the response a ton, do you think that you can tell me if my workout schedule can improve?
Mon: easy (30 min run)
Tue: Speed (100,200+hill sprints)
Wed: easy (30 min run)
Thu: Medium intensity workout (300s and 200s at 800m pace)
Friday: easy (biking/eliptical 40 mins)
Saturday: race day 400, 4x4
I run 52 flat and a 23.5 200m. I want to get to 50.7, and I think my top speed needs to improve. If you were me would you replace Thursday’s practice with another top speed day, or perhaps speed endurance that more reflects 400m speed? I wonder because would race day count as a speed endurance workout? Also I’m a cross country runner so I have solid endurance already.
@@Voseo00 Not a track athlete but I've done a lot of research on this and your "Speed" training isn't correct that is too much distance to train max velocity... even a 100m is too long for speed you want to stay under 7 seconds with 1 minute of rest for each 10 meters you run.
If someone's usually struggling breaking 54 seconds in the 400m, what are they usually struggling with. Or do i need to just run more because sub 50 is the goal.
This is a loaded question, how's your strength level? What's your 200m time and 100m times
Improve those also try to get in races with faster people
Do top speed work. That’s the best thing you’ll need to be runner 22 high at least to break 50
Means doing kilometres & 600m in off season for endurance are of no use???
