Great speech for such a young lady! Wonderful sources and personally true to me. Never limit yourself. "You are the first drop of rain in a hurricane!"
My own experiences with TBI also have included epilepsy and dyslexia

Thank you for your talk. I've had both mild and severe TBI'S. My most recent was a bout of Encephalitis due to a tick bite. I've already been dx'd with Lyme disease and Long Covid 5 years prior to this. I have been a Physical Therapist For twenty five plus years and have worked in the healthfield for thirty plus. I especially was fond of taking care of neurologically injured patience especially Tb. I's and patients who have suffered from strokes. I have worked diligently and tirelessly to support patients and their caregivers Compassionate and Sound advice to with TBI'S, Neuromuscular & Neurological Diseases And I cannot even get care for myself at this time. I have been bedridden for most of the last five years of my life. I struggle with so much Neuro Fatigue & ME/CHRONIC FATIGUE which consumes my every waking moment. I'm not even half the person I used to be. I have raised 3 children and I have a granddaughter. And now I can't even get out of bed to take a shower. I also have an undiagnose autoimmune disorder. However, it is related to the neurologit component of what the Lyme Disease has done in my body. The c d c does not consider Lyme Disease to be a real disease. I continue to get viruses extremely easily. And it takes weeks for me to clear it from my body. My family does not understand nor my friends. I wish I could advocate more for myself but I don't know how. When I was a therapist I would know how to advocate for people like me. I'm so exhausted to the point that.
It sometimes takes me hours just to fill out a comment on a post. I've always taking pride and giving all that I can to serve and now I have no help coming back to me. I'm a Christian and I don't understand this. Our Family is so stressed & overwhelmed... we are at risk of losing our home. My husband is 55 & works 70- 80 hrs a week to try to make ends meet. I feel so helpless and scared. I was extremely physically active and engaged and so much before this happened . I am extremely concerned about my Husband's health. I am so an extremely intelligent person with a lot of knowledge about the Brain And Neurological Conditions. I know the outcomes when someone with a TBI & does not have any support. And now I have become that person. Our family has become that family. I don't say this to get sympathy, I say this I To raise awareness.
And to hopefully get through to someone who will see this message and offer some help Or guidance to lead us to help. I believe my Life Is worth that. There are so much more that I want to be in this Life. People have to realize this is just not mind over matter. If it were believe me I would not be in this bed. I have over the course of my career probably treated hundreds maybe thousands of patients And help them to the best of my ability to rehabilitate from these injuries. Something must be done. Please help.🙏

excercise also eases the pain. that and the headaches is what started ,me I knew oxygen was good for the brain so thats what I tried for.

Get an exercise bike and ride it you need to make sure you get more oxygen to your brain it helps the headaches go away you have to push yourself through i start couple minutes a day I started with a traeadmill I didnt mention that because they cost so much more but exercise helps. I have had a lot of brain injuries and TBI concussions lots. Exercise helps even just walk around the block every day or whenever you can push yourself to do it just a small walk and lots of flowers and plants gardening is good. lots of country.

I used to have a lot of friends when I was a model car builder... Now I have lost a lot of those "friends" because I had to give the model car building hobby up because the model car hobby was too stressful for my injured brain .. 😢...

I had my cheekbone fractured two years ago during a fight and ever since then whenever I go for a jog or run I get insane migraines and nausea. Any other types of exercise such as pull-ups, burpees, jumping squats and lunges, or jumping jacks--regardless of the level of intensity--do not trigger these symptoms. It sucks bc I'm an avid runner and the doctors have no solution but tell me to stop running

I’m so sorry, as a runner myself I can’t imagine how difficult this could be . Have you tried any other high intensity exercises such as swimming? Burpees etc aren’t exactly fun

Society usually discards of men with brain injuries and they end up killing themselves. Can we work on men's mental health? That would solve a lot of problems women have with men.

Society discards all people with brain injuries and mental issues, who end up killing themselves. That's not just about men. There are other issues for which men are "discarded" from society, but the topic of this video is affecting both genders.
