all members are so good and can match the vibe..it was just that sm will choose thier most fave korean members to push..as you can see most members in nct u specifically the main title track were their fave members and add some underrated members..
Nct are the most experimental idol group in the industry. Alot of people say its a lot at first, or they dont like the whistles at first, or they change the beat too much in one song...but thats their style and concept. they are Neo. Neo Culture Technology. So expect alot of their songs to have beat changes, whistles, or "lots" of features. lol but I promise the more you listen to it and understand that its their thing, you will get used to it and you will LOVE it. Nct in a way trains your eyes and ears to think of music in a new light because people simply arent used to it and alot of groups dont do it the way they are. But once you get used to it you will appreciate it that much more. Nct are all rounders. their main vocalists can be main rappers, they are all visuals, and vice versa,...they all excel in dance. Shotaro is the Japanese member you mentioned and hes such a dance prodigy its INSANE!!!!! anyways i am really enjoying these reactions. :)

The 7th Sense is notorious among idol trainees. The choreography is complex and draining, the vocals are beautiful, and apparently a certain mindset is needed to portray the vibe needed. I think one of the reasons why trainees on survival shows avoid it if they can is because they don't totally understand the social commentary of the song which affects their portrayal of it, which IDK why because Ten literally said on one TV show that he didn't really completely understand the lyrics either at that time because he's a foreigner. Even 6 years later The 7th Sense is something that impresses people who see it getting covered.
7th sense is the Debut song of NCT as a whole. Everything start from this song.. This members are the foundation.. the pillar of the whole NCT. This song is indeed a masterpiece.. Despite being the debut song, this song is still very liked by many idols and almost all of the nct members still says that this is their favorite song.

The dance practice is a must see too! I absolutely love the choreo of this song. Misfit - Mark, Taeyong, Johnny, Hendery, Yangyang, Jeno, Sungchan were in this. This is a rap song and I really love this song and the lyrics of it. There's a track video for this one but it's not the complete song. I would suggest using a lyric video for the whole song. From Home - a vocal heavy song from Taeil, Doyoung, Renjun, Kun, Chenle, Haechan, Yuta. The lyrics of this song is so touching. (There is a rearranged version of this one which tells the story of NCT)

what you said about you not expecting a song like 7th sense sound like an idol song is exactly how NCT captive more the attention of an older age range at the beginning, most of the fandom were already from other sm fandom, having said that I think SM want to shows a mature and diverse genre since they would have different unit for every taste, Having said that because of them not sounding like an idol group is what drag me at first because they keep sounding and SM keeps making KPOP even now days when other kpop group tried to sound more western SM is not, none of their groups are. For example for this NCT year project they could have already throw an english album for example but not, they could have stop doing "NOISE MUSIC" but not, and at the end it works. You would figure it out later. Ive being since the beginning of NCT and it is not boring every comeback is different and it kind of build in your like as well is weird.
Most of their songs have that R&B feel and their vocals are AMAZING!!!! They also have amazing choreography and synchronization. You should watch their dance practice videos as well.
Lmao if you think Make a wish is too much just wait until you hear 127s songs their the most experimental of all the units. Their songs have no regular structure and the beat switches up a lot throughout, you got a taste of that with Universe tough. Most people label them noise music because of that so it can be a hit or miss for the title tracks. Nctzens know tough that it's an acquired taste because even if you don't like it the first time you will eventually get addicted to their Neo sound. Usually the B-sides are more mellow and let's not talk about their ballads, heavenly vocals. I haven't listened to Aespa but I've been hearing around twitter and other reactors that their music is similar to NCTs so I'm glad you made that reference.
Most people that reacted said Universe sound like Dream song and I think it might because of there's 4 member of Dream. Haechan, Mark, Jeno and Jaemin. Also, the average age of this unit is quite young

I think one reason you also think Universe is a NCT dream song is because literally all but 2 members around the same age. They're all on the younger side of NCT as a whole Mark being one of the oldest in the MV besides Doyoung and Jungwoo. The rest are literally the same age or younger than him so they could easily be in the NCT dream unit concept in my opinion. I would love to see Shotaro, Sungchan and like majority of WayV be in NCT dream for a song.
I wanted to mention that Mark and Haechan are in both Dream and NCT127. :) You mentioned nostalgia with Baby Don't Stop and for me, it's the very Asian melody. It's gorgeous and sounds classic and I love it. On Universe, you mentioned it looks like Dream. Four of the members in that song are from Dream, so it's possible! :) Two others are from WayV, my favorite unit (Xiaojun and YangYang). I also thought as well that the sound this comeback was more on the NCT Dream style but to me I think it because most of the members for this comeback are at the age of NCT Dream while only two were from 127. That's just my thought though. Love the reaction!!!!

My personal favorite out of these is Universe too. NCT U also does quite a few ballads that really showcase the vocal line.

Since you like mellow music you should try listening to beautiful by nct 2021 and check out the b-sides of each nct group because their ballads are insane. I strongly recommend “rainbow” by nct dream and “magic carpet ride” or “no longer” by nct 127 💚

what you said about you not expecting a song like 7th sense sound like an idol song is exactly how NCT captive more the attention of an older age range at the beginning, most of the fandom were already from other sm fandom, having said that I think SM want to shows a mature and diverse genre since they would have different unit for every taste, Having said that because of them not sounding like an idol group is what drag me at first because they keep sounding and SM keeps making KPOP even now days when other kpop group tried to sound more western SM is not, none of their groups are. For example for this NCT year project they could have already throw an english album for example but not, they could have stop doing "NOISE MUSIC" but not, and at the end it works. You would figure it out later. Ive being since the beginning of NCT and it is not boring every comeback is different and it kind of build in your like as well is weird.

Lmao if you think Make a wish is too much just wait until you hear 127s songs their the most experimental of all the units. Their songs have no regular structure and the beat switches up a lot throughout, you got a taste of that with Universe tough. Most people label them noise music because of that so it can be a hit or miss for the title tracks. Nctzens know tough that it's an acquired taste because even if you don't like it the first time you will eventually get addicted to their Neo sound. Usually the B-sides are more mellow and let's not talk about their ballads, heavenly vocals. I haven't listened to Aespa but I've been hearing around twitter and other reactors that their music is similar to NCTs so I'm glad you made that reference.

I think one reason you also think Universe is a NCT dream song is because literally all but 2 members around the same age. They're all on the younger side of NCT as a whole Mark being one of the oldest in the MV besides Doyoung and Jungwoo. The rest are literally the same age or younger than him so they could easily be in the NCT dream unit concept in my opinion. I would love to see Shotaro, Sungchan and like majority of WayV be in NCT dream for a song.

I wanted to mention that Mark and Haechan are in both Dream and NCT127. :) You mentioned nostalgia with Baby Don't Stop and for me, it's the very Asian melody. It's gorgeous and sounds classic and I love it. On Universe, you mentioned it looks like Dream. Four of the members in that song are from Dream, so it's possible! :) Two others are from WayV, my favorite unit (Xiaojun and YangYang). Mark is everyone's favorite. :) I'm happy you like them and I'll definitely check out your other reaction videos!

If you someone who has never really listened to nct it can be confusing on how the groups work and how they sort there song and members but the fun thing about it i that you never know what your gonna expect so you cant really listen to one group and one song and expect for the other songs to sound or have the same feeling cuz there mv and song always come out differently it just a matter of your taste in music with this group

Universe looks/sounds like an NCT Dream song probably because 4 of those members are in NCT Dream. There is also 2 Wayv members, and about 4 NCT 127 members. As for Shotaro, he isn’t in a Sub-unit yet.. I haven’t heard anything about Shotaro being in a unit.
