Squirrel Baffle for Bird Feeder Pole - Will it Work?

This year I decided it would be nice to have some birdfeeders. The squirrels and chipmunks immeditately thought these were for them. I moved them from the trees to hooks and now we're trying the baffles. With how smart they seem to be, I think at best this will only slow them down.

This was a helpful video. It shouldn't take an hour to install a squirrel baffle! I really struggled with this.

@myrandom603 Yeah well then my husband came home, disassembled what I had done which was falling down the pole, and put it together correctly along with one more, in less than 10 minutes. Lol

I have similar baffles on my bird feeder poles. They work very well.

I'm so happy to hear this style has worked for someone else, so far they have kept the squirrels and chipmunks at bay since installing them.

We use a metal Slinky and haven't had a problem since

I was going to get the slinky until I saw this thing and figured it might be funny watching them try to get over it where it wobbles when they put any weight on it. I'll get the slinky once they eventually defeat this goofy thing.
