    If you’re trying to figure out whether Victoria is the right fit for you then you’ve come to the right place.
    I’m Ainsley Gower a local real estate agent, I personally specialize in working with clients looking to buy or sell in Victoria BC but if you’re looking to buy or sell here or anywhere else here on Vancouver Island I can hook you up with a great agent within my network who specializes in the area you’re considering, so shoot me an email ainsley@cloverresidential.com
    Today we’re going to be discussing why some people move here, what it’s like as well, a few top neighbourhoods, as some of the pros and cons.
    Moving to a new city is one of the hardest things to do but by the end of this video you may just feel inspired to take the leap, buy that plane ticket, pack your bags and head out West to commence your new life here on the island just like you’ve been manifesting!
    People I have helped move here tend to be drawn to the island for similar reasons, some of which include, they’re seeking warmer weather, a slower pace of life, shorter commutes, less smoke from forest fires than some other areas of BC have received in recent years, and they’re also excited to live in a more nature-infused setting. Moving here can feel like a breath of fresh air, especially for those for those coming from larger cities like Toronto and Vancouver, and some would argue that they feel like they get more “life” of their day here, as there is less of a “rat race” vibe on the Island.
    When working together to reach your unique real estate goals, you can expect a high level of integrity, personable nature and low-pressure approach from the way that I work. My business was born out of a love for building relationships. You are what makes doing what I do worthwhile.
    Thinking of moving to Vancouver Island or more specifically Victoria B.C? I would love to help you find a home!

      Yes Ainsley, we are going to need help for that. We want to rent an apartment or a house. I am enrolled at Camosun college, we have 3 little kids, one girl and two boys, of 10, 7 and 4 years old.
      We are very exited!
      How can we talk more about it?

    If you are incredibly wealthy maybe an option. Watch out for the rampant iv drug users 10 hour wait in emergency and no chance of a family doctor. It was a nice spot 25 yrs ago.

      Hey Adrien, I totally understand, housing is expensive and it's not a perfect place by any stretch. I do mention some cons in the video which included homelessness, how expensive it is, and how hard it is to get a family doctor here but the doctor issue is an issue across BC unfortunately. Thanks for watching and for your comment, I appreciate it.

      I live in the Vancouver area (Port Coquitlam) and was just in Victoria a few days ago. Homelessness is NOTHING compared to Vancouver believe me. I also found it to be much more affordable outside of the Victoria downtown area. Plus...the weather is much cooler in the summer and there is more sun. Huge amounts of benefits in my opinion. Plus...finding a family doctor here in Poco is just as bad as the rest of BC...Just sayin...

    • @ainsleygowervictoriarealestate
      @ainsleygowervictoriarealestate  Před rokem

      @@RobOnRefresh Yes I appreciate Homelessness is nothing compared to Vancouver or Seattle but it has gotten so much worse here in Victoria than it was say even a few years ago. And totally agree finding a family doctor is difficult anywhere in BC right now!

    It's a beautiful place to live....however, the demand being created for this small region that is land lockedf by ocean and mountains, has priced many locals who grew up here out. We have a shortage of housing, a lot of outside "investors" buying up property with cash and no conditions on offers and renting at high rates. Myself included who has lived here for nearly 20 years, makes a 6 figure income and still has to consider outside of the city for affordability. Personally, if you move here and contribute to the local economy and support local business and want to bring your family here, we as a community welcome you. If you are an outside real estate investment corporation buying up properties with "no conditions" on real estate listings and pushing out families who actually want to stay here long term - shame on you. Go elsewhere!!
    Personally lobbying to keep you out of our area.

      Thanks for your comment Tammy. I grew up in Victoria too and it is sad to see how unaffordable things have gotten.
