An amazing production. I know the work and time that goes into these. My husband is a choir teacher and he does a big Christmas production that includes all grades and the adult community choir. So job well done.
I am doing moana jr only as a school play, and it’s my first proper time on stage apart from dance, which is irrelevant. I really want moana, but I’m so scared to sing! I might go for moana, hei hei, tala, and ta ka!
This looks like it was a beautiful production. We are getting ready to perform Moana in March. Could you tell me how the claws and Tamatoa shell were made?
The base of the shell was a piece of cardboard that had backpack straps attached. The surface was created using spray insulation foam that was spray painted gold. The claws were also made from pieces of cardboard that were wrapped in duct tape. A wooden dowel was placed inside each claw to give the actors a handle to grab on to. Have a wonderful time doing your show! It is such a fun one!
We currently do not rent items. I’m sorry about that. We did tell the dad who made the hook that he could start an Etsy and sell them. The father that made them carved special messages into them to keep and give to his daughter. We told him he could totally start up an Etsy shop and sell them.

I don’t keep momentos, but that is a great idea. I do take lots of pictures, though!
