Oh I feel for your dad - he's about my age and forgetting to put the lid on something is exactly the type of thing I'd do too lol.
As long as the weld is a good strong hold that's all that matters it doesn't have to look like a work of art Chet 😊
Brodie’s the only one that actually works at that farm. Jordans mustache looks hungry. 😂😂😂😂
Great work!!
THE BEST FARM VIDEO ON YOU TUBE
Brody is a real smooth productive/operator! Larson Farms crew are good at “keeping stuff”and doing best with what you got! Best farm shop on CZcams for sure.
It is important to have the right tool for the right task, but hey we need MORE truck soap!
Thanks Chet for another entertaining video! Don't sell yourself short, Chet. You are very talented in many ways. Good to see Brody smiling again. Wishing you all a safe and productive Spring!
Trailer ball is not strong enough to use for safe pulling. I enjoy watching you guys. I would not like to see any of you hurt.
The sliding or slip drive shafts are called cardigan joints
Definitely a king pin problem . I Went through 2 set of tires and an alignment to learn that lol😂😂
Chet theirs a reason why your channel is #1. Your content is the best and your team that your family has put together are amazing. Each person has there own thing that make the videos fun. Keep up the awesome work and can’t wait for planting season.
Another great video Chet. You guys take such good care of your equipment. 👍❤️
Brody is a smooth operator 🎵
Also don't worry about making everyone happy, if they don't like it they can see themselves through the door and hopefully it doesn't smack them on the arse on their way out lol
After putting on new steer tires I would send the truck in for an alignment. Makes your tires last longer. A good alignment shop will do front and back wheels.
You can do in house too.
@@matkremzar5474 Years back we had bought a used truck and right front was cupping on the inside. We replaced the steers and took it into an alignment shop we used before and he found a tie rod end that had to be replaced. They have the proper tools and do it all the time. He aligned the complete truck and it drove like a new one. I leave that to the pros.
@@kendallwilliamson8193 They probably should get the king pins and other bushings replaced at the same time.
@@agentcrm The alignment shop would check for worn stuff and change or they can replace it themselves. Can,t align proper with worn out parts.
Larson farms are my favorite farming youtube channel
Fancy seeing you here Lol.
You can't get any better than Larson Farms. Why stop anywhere else!
The important thing is that you tried Chet. just an FYI if that thing hauled blacktop, sometimes that oil gets into the steel and makes it very difficult to weld. That’s what I do for a living and that is the case sometimes with dump truck boxes.
Amen I'm glad It worked out for you. You are a very hard worker
Just got a 1/4” winch rope and a 7/8” rope from yankum . Thanks to you and another channel. Already impressed!
Chet, When you get the steer tires mounted, mark the valve stem with the crayon and see how far the tire spins on the first trip. I never thought about it until I put new tires on my RV and the tire company said he would just be taking my money to balance them now and to bring back after a trip. Tire slid halfway around rim in 40 mile trip home.
Thanks for all the work that goes into making these videos Chet they are always great
Brody the best at Washing, Welding, Working
Come on Dugo, you know the thing, the lid, lol.
Larson Farms, Plastic Works Leola, SD can help you out with a liner for your belly dump.
You guys are my favorite CZcams farming channel to watch just wish the videos could be longer LOL I think I could watch Larson farm videos all night
Good morning from New Zealand 🇳🇿
You might want to check out that Corn Star guy's latest post. Some new rock terminator contraption with drone app to locate all the rocks in the field. Skid Steer with a terminator attachment that makes a fool out of a rock.
Millennial Farmer showed that last year. Or maybe before
Yall, Millennial Farmer and CBoys are representing MN well.
Brody on the scene like a cleaning machine.
You too hard on the old man!! 🤪😂🙏👍
As long as you try and do your best whatever that level may be, then that's all that can be expected...
Keep up the great work Chet
You can buy bags of balance beads you can throw in the steer tires to help balance them. Or they have balance rings that get mounted behind the rim. But if your tires are chopping, when was the last time the front shocks were replaced?
congrats from Aus, great bunch of friends,,,,,,
I like watching your fixing of things around the farm. Think of the money it saves. The farmer today has to be able to work on their equipment the way they have done in the past.
HOLLY COW!! You made us miss the upstairs flooding??? Awe man. ….glad it wasnt worse. HEY Dont you use Simply Safe??? Prob be a good spot for the water alarm.
Another great video Chet!
Chet Dougo Eric Broodie and Jordan thank you all for a great video it was great thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video and can't wait for next video
Duggo just made My day 😂
Just a suggestion, but seals usually leak because the shaft moves sideways because of a bearing being worn out.
Broooooody👍👍🍻
Looks like that black belly dump is so warn out, needs to be stripped of useful stuff and the rest sent to scrap. At the end of the season.
The truck, needs to be sent to the mechanics and have the front end rebuilt.
Dougo having a senior moment on Martin today !!
#Congratulations to all the #Larson team. We like your chats with one another,. It is always creates smiles & chuckles. Thank you.🌟🤣👏❤👌
Enjoyable video with all the struggles and of course the Dougo
That was a little scary tugging on the semi in the direction of launch. Could just imagine having an instant drive through installed in the shop..... You guys make the best farming youtube content on the interweb. #1.........
I really enjoy watching all your videos it shows how the struggle bus never really goes away.
Great job on the videos Chet you do a good job keeping it interesting and real.
Love your videos
Thanks for showing toby in the last couple or so videos. I wanted to be sure he was doing ok. gotta chase them kitties lol
Awesome video guys. 🚜🚜🚜
Chet, you guys do great welding man, relax. That 86 belly dump is what we around here call well loved. Keep the great content coming, you guys are great.
Nice workshop😊
Thank you, Chet. Very interesting. Great video.
Brody. Total Package
Good stuff guys
Looks like your getting MOISTURE ! Finally some spring rain.
You should never use the ball hitch to recover, they can break and kill someone. There are lots of videos out there on that very thing.
great video
A great or an OK job on the welding, Chet!
Replace both those Steer tires, the cupping only gets worse, much better having two new ones for longevity. Get a 3 axle alignment rite after, itll square things up and keep everything running true.
Appreciate your channel, great content. ✌️.
Brody in his natural habitat lol
You have to do what makes it usable, nice job Chet
You do good work Chet, so don't worry about negative comments ! ( from Canada )!
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET😊
Best intro music out there in the YT world.
They don’t balance the steers. Just change them out and put back on truck. It could be the brand of tire of ur using that chop like that or out alignment.
Don't be sorry. You did realy good on that repair
Thanhs for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Flooded the floor I the parts room. Not quite following you. Where is water coming from. You mentioned something about the water source in the wash bay??????
Sorry, not following you on this one?????
The old gravel belly dump has seen some hard days. You did your best with it welding, should be good enough for the use you give it in the summer time. Not like it is used every day. The one you just got is in nice condition.
That Brody is the clean master if I have ever seen. That truck and trailer looked immaculate!!!!!! Nice work Brody On the wash job!!!!!!!!
Shop is staying busy with lots of repair jobs getting ready for spring field work. Hang in there guys. Top shelf crew!!!!!!!
About it I guess. Thanks for everything Chet. Great crew of people at Larsons!!!!!!!
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Great vidio
I would think the truck needs an alignment.good video.
Also check the shocks they could be bad to that will sometimes cause tires to wear funny
Chet have you done a wheel alignment on the purple/silver pete??? Check wheel bearings, kingpins, suspension bushes, tyre pressure, tyre brand makes a difference, I run michelin/double coin in australia on my big cab argosy, the steer tyres my tyre fitter puts on he used two bags of balance beads per wheel, over inflate to about 120psi then let it sit so it beads evenly all the way around then let back down to 100-110psi
I heard that the Big Suede could knock all the snow off a trailer with a fart.
"Should have pulled it out with a dodge. Would have gotten it out with 1 tug" 😂😂😂 yeah and that one tug would have been the end of the life for the transmission jordan
Like to see more home videos from Chet😊
Hay chet i run 7axle grain truck also we had that problem to go to a wider steer tire and slowed down going around corners.
Looks good from my house.
Potential energy BTW. Speaking as an electrical engineering student 🤓
Love it
Magnifique vidéo et les camions et les remorque et bien 😮😅
A couple things you could do inside your belly dump trailers and anything that dumps. one is they make a spray on liner for dump trucks it is clear and it keeps materials from sticking in the box and a lot of people spray it on the bottom of the outside of the box where the sidewalls meet the bed it is usually angled out and it is where any gravel or stone hits if it falls over the side beside making it non sticking even frozen stuff won’t stick and it lasts a long time. They also make sheets of a poly material that I have used on the floor of a dump truck and you only attach one end to the truck you would use bolts and washers on the front if you can get a sheet long enough to cover the entire floor or if you need two or more you would start from the tailgate and attach the front of the sheet and then overlap the next sheet and so on that way if anything gets under the sheets it can get out and I would think you could put them on the sidewalls of the belly dumps and on the door that open too dump just bolt them on the top so if anything gets under them it will come out
Baron Von Fabricobble did a fine job patching the trailer
Hotsy has a water solenoid that shuts off the water flow when machine is off, wired to pump switch so it would work from your remote station to prevent that overflow conditon.
Need full lockers Cat trucks are the top shelf trucks. Struggling is driving a ford!!!!
I’ll come haul some gravel on the super secret project this summer… I feel like I asked to buy your old belly before, I can just tote it back home with me.
Never ever attach a tow rope to a hitch ball. I don’t want to lose you because of a bad accident.
Thanks Chet, spring yet?
Can't believe Brody would let himself run out of soap
Telling the Engineering grad about Kinetic energy is funny! 😂
I passed y’all when I was hauling a 9rx last week
So, add the belly dump to the list of much needed replacements and the next time you feel like splurging on a new toolbox or some other whack-a-ma-do, dont and tally up those prices and see how much you fall short. Dad Cornstar spends over $5k annually on pizza. Imagine if he replaced those pizzas for something healthy like a bag of apples.
Simply safe water dectors . Would alert you of the water issue. MF can tell you how well they work.
You should replace the steel sheeting in your belly dump. Cut out the old and replace with a thicker gauge of steel. You would have a practically new trailer then
I wonder how Larson’s ever became a highly successful multigenerational farm without you telling them what they should do.
Good video. Wish Chris was there helping. Feed Brody more steak so he can pull those hoods easier. 😅
A horn toot is for safety whenever equipment is in motion.
Fluid Firm is you friend on the Farm or fertilizer business. It works
Chet teaching us
Should replate it with some AR plate 1/4 inch plate would do wonders for that trailer and keep it from wearing out so fast
Oh yes one more thing, the water problem can be resolved with a water flow monitor, it is a Moen Flo I have this on two different locations and it will text you and shut the water off. Many options
The twists in the rope could flip the truck.
Hi. I thought you had a plasma cutter, if you do not then it might be worth getting one.
