- Testing the Windslayer foam case cover on my Hero 7 Black! Without it you cant hear the engine over the wind noise above 35mph. The results are impressive, probably the best wind noise reduction you can find for less than $20. I will be using this 100% of the time on the motorcycles. My GoPro is mounted to the front of my Shoei RF1200 on a 3D printed chin mount from Ride Tech Moto, it works great. Exhaust is a pair of 2" Thrush glass packs on stock head pipes. You can see/hear them while parked in one of my newer videos!

Wow! Head-to-toe memories. I had three of these bikes during my ill spent youth. My first bike was a 77 XS650. I also had a 1980 and a 1981. Fun to ride they were and cheap to fix and maintain. Amazingly they are worth big money now.
Always loved the sound of yics motor my dad had a 1981 Yamaha Seca 750 1980 Yamaha xs 1100 special both were stupid fast now I am looking for one just loved that inline 4 sound
Been a LOOOOONNNGGG time. in the late 70's I had three, forgot years. 1st had a few wrong parts was I think a 73, wire rear, mag front, bought it needing some work, then bought a Special. Still had breaker points. Then acquired a frame and spare engine. Mostly local short trips. I had a one piece Vetter style windshield for awhile. I'm 74, my balance/ inner ear is not what it should be I cannot ride, anymore.
Beautiful motor and exhaust sound!
Thank you!
Sounds amazing.
Nice sounding XS
I want one of these bikes so bad
What is your rpm running at driving a comfortable hwy speed ?
How are you going that fast without if vibrating like crazy
The camera is on my helmet not the bike and the Hero 7 has great image stabilization.
A well tuned XS doesn't vibrate like crazy. I rode one from Arizona to Arkansas and back across Texas to Arizona. Your tires will vibrate more than the engine if you know what you are doing.
17 front 32 rear?
Stock front sprocket and 2 teeth smaller on rear, so whatever that is. I can't remember how many teeth they are.
Top speed?
It'll do about 105 with my 260lb ass on it.
