Pure Power: John Deere 9900i Cutting Rye

A cracking crop of Winter Rye being cut just outside Ballymoney with the John Deere 9900i with the 6m Domai header. With a mixed fleet of John Deere tractors and one New Holland call carting back to the silo...with an 11 mile cart back to silo there was no room for small loads due to the fine chop as it often settles into the trailer
With chopping for to 6mm for a digest the 24.2 Litre Liebherr engine producing 970 horsepower was more than a match for it.
9900i John Deere is the Flagship harvester in the range and works as the primary harvester in Lyons Contracts Fleet.
