Granted it was a short life for Agnarr and Iduna. After checking out “Frozen 2: Dangerous Secrets: The Story of Iduna and Agnarr,” it’s easy to see why Iduna hid such a vital portion of her past from Agnarr. I have always believed that honesty is the best policy and if Iduna had told Agnaar who she really was after they were married and before Elsa was born things would have been so much easier on the both of them because they would then have known that there was a reason their child was born with magic and then would have been able to come up with a better way to help Elsa control her powers with out have the child have to hide it from the world because I hate to say it but when you hide things they have a tendency to grow till they get so big you can no longer hide them anymore

Fun fact: the two servants who were Agnarr's and Idunna's closest friends were named Kia and Gerda. The two children in the original Snow Queen were named Kia and Gerda.
My head cannon is that Lord Peterson was the one Elsa saw her grandfather talking with when she arrived in Attahalla, making him the only one who would have known who really started the battle.
I've toyed with the idea that Peterson realized that Idunna was the one who got the unconscious Agnarr into that cart and played up that fact rather than hiding where she came from. It would gradually get out that she was Northuldra, but by then she was accepted as a citizen of Arundel. When she discovered Elsa's magic, she was able to tell Agnarr that it was a gift from the Enchanted Forest to bless their marriage and find out who started the battle and why.

I love this storyline. Tho I feel like as smart as Agnarr is that he would’ve figured out Iduna’s identity. I don’t think he would’ve been kept in the dark for so long

Well I do understand Iduna's feelings.
Even if she did save him back in the forest. She was unsure if he still did see her as a friend to begin with even after the battle broke out, if she told him everything. Like if she could trust him for loving her for who she was. She was simply just a woman who was afriad of being betrayed by the one she saved and loved and since Agnarr never spoked about the event in the forest how he truely felt, she was still unsure about his feelings and if he had a grudge against the Northuldra people for killing his father. Plus having a daughter with powers that couldn't be controlled to begin with thanks to fear and inexperience. She had all reasons to be afraid to reveal the truth to him.

I agree. She was a child when everything happened, she was afraid and how could anyone blame her. She eventually told him the truth and he obviously understood and didn't blame her.

If you read the book, you’ll realize that that’s a memory from when they knew they were going to die because of the weather conditions. I definitely recommend the book to any fan!

If Queen Iduna told King Agnarr her origins right then and there when they started dating, he would have helped her to the best of his ability since she was the one who saved him when they were kids.

But there’s also no guarantee that would’ve happened, because while the Northuldrans could commune with nature they themselves didn’t have powers, so I imagine Iduna must have been pretty shocked when Elsa was born with magic when neither Agnarr nor herself possessed it. But I stopped questioning this woman’s logic when she just hopped in the cart and followed him to Arendel ... sure she was a dumb kid but still to just ditch her entire family AND community for some strange boy? Sheesh I haven’t seen a girl act this stupidly since The Little Mermaid 😒😒😒

Their story is so much like Romeo and Juliet, even my dad knew it, he knew it first while we watched frozen 2 together.
I find it very ridiculous for her act of concealment, she would have sacrificed her former happiness in the forest to save the life of Agnarr, which was Arendelle's only heir, if it wasn't for her help perhaps the Royalty has become very unstable because there is no official heir, so she deserves more credit than what she has to endure.
Although Northuldran was an enemy of Arendellian at the time, it was clear that she saved her enemy - an act of heroism worthy of admiration. Maybe she mistook this action as a crime and always lived in fear.
It's sad that the fear has caused a lot of psychological trauma to Elsa and Anna

I feel like it would've made more sense for the trolls to change her memories of Northaldren instead.
As a fan of the philosophy that if a simple answer works, why make it complicated? I have to ask why, exactly, you think someone taking Idunna to the trolls to alter her memory makes more sense than her agreeing to hide her heritage out of fear or retribution? Especially since the memories in Attahalla confirmed that Agnarr never saw the face of his savior?
Then how does Elsa didn’t reveal her secret to young Anna while playing in the snowy playground of hers ? Hans may have thought that in order to frame her to get closer to Queen Elsa . But to me , it’s not the title to be judged by , it’s what’s inside Elsa’s heart is what really counts . The conflict of Frozen is Queen vs . Sister .

This still works with once upon a time. If her sister accidentally killed her other sister. She changed her name from Gertrude to Induna to hide her identity. Maybe Helga, Anna, and Tarzan has powers. Talking to animals sounds like a power. Anna definitely has super strength the way she smacked the wolf with a plank and climbed a cliff without breaking a sweat. Maybe Helga had Terakinesis like Isabella from Encanto.

When did the scene in which they met appear and she was playing with her strength?
What hurts most is the fact that Iduna was not only locked out of the forest since childhood, but after the accident and Agnarr forcing the girls into isolation, Iduna literally had no say in it despite her queen status, because of Agnarr status as king. So the poor woman still has to obey what he does, and help him.
Agnarr was afraid of Elsa's magic, but Iduna wasn't seeing as she wasn't hesitant to hold her little girl when Agnarr told the Enchanted Forest story.
This is precisely why Iduna is my favorite chaacter of the two. I hope she survived, and Agnarr is trapped in Davy Jones' Locker
That had Iduna told Agnaar who she was after Elsa was confirmed to have powers things should have been ok. If she had mentioned anything earlier, especially before they married, I doubt they would've ended up together.

From a genocidal father to a biracial demigoddess of a daughter...It seems like Agnarr lived his entire life locked out of the loop. I can see Iduna's reasoning, but since Anna resembles her father so closely, I think she would have been safe telling him, at least after Elsa was born.

This storyline is captivating. With Frozen II, I was definitely more interested in knowing the story of Agnarr and Iduna. I'm still hopeful they'll pick that story to tell.

@@PrincessofEllabur Iduna didn’t have magic. The Northuldra followed magic, but they weren’t magical themselves. According to Frozen 2, the spirits rewarded Iduna’s selfless act of rescuing Agnarr, by bestowing upon their firstborn daughter, Elsa, the power that made her the fifth spirit.
She had powers, she was blowing the wind that they were playing with
