Great presentation. I priced the converter modules and they are pricey at about $24 each. For those who would like to save money they could eliminate the modules and wire the lights to work with the brake lights only. That would give them extra safety while saving $50 and having less original wiring intrusion. Thanks!
They are impressive, and thanks for explaining the fitting process. My concern is whether they're legal, because they no longer reflect when you have switched the car off and parked it in the dark. Cars passing by won't see a reflection from the reflectors.
@@dial2fast cheers, I confused your reflectors that don't 'reflect', excellent video, I have been a subscriber for many years, I appreciate your videos, thanks.
Hi....I bought the same exact controller module ... and for some reason when I add power to the white wire nothing comes on (but the red and yellow wire works)...strange
Great Videos, You do nice work. The 2015 NISSAN Rogue is my wife's car. I bought a set of reflector lights from EBAY, I did NOT buy the cheap one ether. They came Red wire, White wire & Black wire. The Car has 4 wires? Red, White, Black & Purple I did the drivers side following your instructions that helped me a great deal, Thank you again. But when done and hooked up, all Car lights work as they should but the reflector light only does Running lights, Turn signal, and emergency flashers. It does NOT brighten up when you step on the break pedal? Should I connect something to the purple wire also on the car side?Like I say it works on all but Break light?Thank you Your friend Steve
there is another box that got installed for another upcoming project where I installed a F1 style brake light. It will be mentioned in when that video comes out. It's similar in function as this project.
Don’t know if this has been asked already. I really like the look of the lights you bought and didn’t use. Wondering where you got them. The only ones I find are strobe braking or sequential which I hate. I would really appreciate a link for them. Also thank you for all the vids of your Pathfinder, I have the same car but in black. Looking to do most of the mods you have on yours. Thanx in advance.
Bought them on Ebay long time ago. These lights will eventually die because there is no current limiting resistor inside. The lights look good but the electronics inside is garbage.
@@dial2fast Thank you, do you have any recommendations as far as ones that I can buy that aren’t struggling or sequential? Don’t have the time the tools or the knowledge to make my own like you did.
Dial2 fast I am a current subscriber and based on your recommendation for the pathfinder lights I ordered the modules from exledusa but never received my product nor response. I now your not responsible but was wondering if you have any insight rather they are still in business etc?
I see their website is still up and since they are based in the US, I would think they are still in business. I remember when I ordered my controllers, shipping took a while. Think I waited 2-3 weeks to get them shipped. Over the years, I have ordered 2 sets of these and they both came. Maybe you can also try contacting them on FB.
dial2fast Well one noticed you have a different site that you order modules from I'm your description. Is this company better. Add far as EXledusa it's been months and no response and after my first message to you I looked them up on Facebook. It seems everyone else is having the same issue with getting their orders and getting no replies. Surrey several people commented on their page about the same issues they finally responded to one individual. They requested for him to message or email which the individual stated he did and again no response back for over a week or two now.
I understand your point, but there really isn't much of a choice when it comes to finding this type of control module for this specific application. Seems like no other companies care to make them and probably not a high demand product. Also keep in mind, I placed mine outside the vehicle because it made the install easier instead of tearing up the interior to find the wires, but for most sedans, or coupes, the module will most likely be placed inside the car since the tail light assembly is accessible from the inside trunk. For me, I am ok with it as long as it will last. Time will tell.
Yeah these modules are design with cars like sedans in mind, not bigger cars. Still, they could of done a better job of the inside, little bit of silicone doesn't hurt.

Thank you for the great detailed video.Really enjoyed it and I will be modifying my lights.
Amazing, where you guys located? I’d like to customize mine but I can’t, I need your service.
Clean install, looks factory. Nice mod.
Thanks for your comment!
Looks like i can add this to one of my Spring/summer project. thanks! I'm Subscribing!

If they are switched on, they are visible. If they are not switched on (or not working), they are reflective. So either way, they are visible.

Hi Peter - Any chance you doing this LED reflectors mod for your 2019 Honda Odyssey? I would love it if you did!
I have started looking into this project but still researching. So might take some time.
very nice,, great job

That's definitely the purple wire, it's the positive wire for when you step on the brake...
Sir good day. I want to ask how did you remove the plastic reflector in the rear bumper? I hope you help me
Since this is VIDEO 2, you should watch VIDEO 1 czcams.com/video/ZulzKzCA9VA/video.html
Do you have any videos replacing the high mount brake light to led?
You are the super man, Thanks
Well...lol....thanks!
Nice with great ideal!
Nice work! I did not see any resistors to eliminate rapid flash with your LED bulbs. Did you install one? thanks!
This LED is added to the existing turn signal (not replacing it), so no hyperflash issue, and no resistors needed.
Thank you for your video!
Hey, I'm writing you at email
Question what is that small black box on the bottom.. You can see it at 5:19 of the video
there is another box that got installed for another upcoming project where I installed a F1 style brake light. It will be mentioned in when that video comes out. It's similar in function as this project.
Can I mod my 2010 mdx rear led brake/running lights to also function as signals using this box?
Dial2fast is it possible to just tap directly into the rear signal bulb without the resistor? What will happen if I do?
this control can be used on a honda fir 2011?
Will work on any car
Nice work! Thanks!
What brand and LM is the 7443 bulb and 7440 bulb used ?
Wow
Hi. I just want to ask, is the module can turn a brake light into a turn signal as well? Thank you
No
So it can turn signal light as a brake light?

That module by exled is poorly designed. Why couldn't they make it weatherproof? Even cheap ebay modules are waterproof. What a shame...
