Great video, very informative. SS underarmor was the first thing I bought after opening gold. Ironically I never used it. For general gameplay I would value Int, so Vault suit became my preferred choice (I know it looses 1 Int to casual, but at least the other stats are helpful).
Something to keep in mind too, is that once you learn the prerequisite plan (eg protective Raider), it won’t drop again. So if you’re a plan collector and want an extra, it’s even more rng grind. Same with the Elder plans. Nice video as usual Turtle 🐢
I wouldnt say that secret service is the best one, but its really good for melee. Raider is awesome for commando and casual is good for getting extra xp. I still havent unlocked the raider one myself, so much grinding needed. But on the up side i finaly got the last mod for ultracite PA a month back, been grinded that one for a long time.
The best way to farm protective/shielded raider is to make new characters and do the Signal Strength mission right off the bat. Works best with a friend to make traveling easier. Rinse and repeat.
I find it ironic the best undersuit is also the easiest to get since there's no RNG involved. the other ones which have been there since early days are so random most player probably never got them or the upgrades. personally id like to be able to craft an undersuit where we can choose and upgrade the perks.
@@OnlineHipHopTV not if you paly unyielding build, which is, hands down, the best performing build in the game. As a bloodied I stick to shielded vault suit and get 35 luck in total (even without luck boosting machines in the camp) which allows me to crit every 3rd shot and give nice bonus for endurance, strength and especially intelligence.
I got the plan for Shielded Casual like 20 times from Queen of the Hunt event, but I never got Protective Raider and Shielded Raider from events even though I'm level 1000+ by now doing hundreds of Uranium Fever, One Violent Night and Guided Meditation events. I just bought a ready to use Shielded Raider underarmor from a player vendor.

Also the best underarmor mods cost 4 fluxes and balistic fiber . A price of 1000 -1500 is justified. It weights less than 4 fluxes , it's good to put some at your vendors , newer players love buying those
When I got my shielded Raider under armor on the early game days, I had no idea how lucky I was, and now I struggle to get ridiculous daily OP rewards ...
Theres also the military fatigues available from camp McClintock which gives you added Int and Chr but so far I've only unlocked the treated lining for +1 I'm sure most of the underarmor listed above is better but thought I'd mention it for the sake of completeness. If i find out how to get the plans for shielded I'll update this post.

Choosing underarmor is a no-brainer, fortunately or unfortunately depending on how one sees it. For a dedicated VATS user it's Raider, for an XP farmer it's Casual and for the rest it's Secret Service. The rest of the underarmors are superfluous.
shielded vault suit is the best imo because it boosts luck, the only other stats i remotely care about boosting are intelligence and endurance and the DR is negligible if you're rocking secret service armor.
I just got shielded raider from distinguished guests 100% satisfaction rating the other night. So i think it's only from events from areas rose sends you to from vanilla quests.
It's insane how many plans are tied to Census Violence. I hate that event with a passion because it doesn't spawn often enough given how many plans it holds. I also have issues with Queen of the Hunt not restarting for me, so Shielded Casual lining is an absolute pain to get for me. it's only really an issue because I'm a collector, though. SS underarmor is still my preferred underarmor.
@@caladonn2659 what helped me finally get it was 1. Reading more on it and realizing I was wasting attempts by having not learned all 3 previous casuals beforehand on all my characters, and then 2. Getting all said characters leveled up enough to have them all take a stab at the Queen Of The Hunt; I have two accounts with 5 characters each, so many more chances for it to drop, then transferred it to my main account so it could craft the shielded flannels for the rest. Hope that helps ya! ☺️
All of your videos helped me alot...speaking of armor, I have been experiencing an excavator pa carry weight issue. Says I'm over encumbered while in armor, no carry weight mods on regular armor! Any ideas?

Funny thing is Fallout 1st Brotherhood of Steel Infantry Uniform accepts the casual under armor lining plans, but not the Brotherhood of Steel under armor lining plan
Sorry to say I did get lucky and got the Raiders Shielded and didn’t register how I got it to remember, and I definitely think I need to switch to Secret Service Shielded for the Extra Endurance for my Bloodied Commando.

Service under armor looks like it’s good I already have the black shielded brother hood under armor with the daily ops brother hood recon armor does this mess up the legendary perk card if I use the service under armor ? Since it’s not matching

It's puzzling why the game makes certain mediocre items so hard to get. Raider shielded lining is nice, but it's not super good. Its rarity doesn't really match what it's worth. If I got it, I would sell it for 50 caps, because that's how much it's worth. Another one is plasma grenade plan, which I still haven't got. Plasma grenades are so common that you don't really need the plan. So I don't know why the game makes it so hard to get.
I know this is an old video... But I just started the game. Is there a level requirement for the plans? I got the first two raider plans, and have server hopped eight times now, and the Protective Lining is not showing. I am level 46 right now.
Honestly it’s crazy too me that the best under armour has a skin glitch that hasn’t been patched in a year almost, it’s disappointing since I love the entire set.

I used a shielded vault suit for a couple years. I recently switched to shielded Secret Service because the blue looked silly under the SS armor.
I got my shielded lining: raider under armour from irrational fear. Best in the game , great for rifles and pistol character builds

Shielded Vault Suits are underrated.
Before I went Bloodied, I used one for the Intelligence boast.

Raider is the best for any ranged non PA built. So not sure what you mean.

It's classed as casual, so just follow the advice in the video to unlock the shielded lining.

Yea, I learned you have to hold back on the technical data. If you have 2-3 she takes them all and only rewards you once.
