For me, Gary was the best guitar player. I know there is tons of great players out there. Big shredding guitar heroes. But no one has that feel Gary had. He was amazing.
R.I.P Gary Moore, too many talented people are leaving us, Gary was a brilliant guitar player that played with heart and soul, this brought tears to my eyes!!

I remember Paris in '49 The Champs Elysee, San Michelle And old Beaujolais wine. And I recall that you were mine In those Parisienne days. Looking back at the photographs. Those summerdays spent outside corner cafes. Oh, I could write you paragraphs, About my old Parisienne days. I remember Paris in '49. The Champs Elysee, San Michelle And old Beauolais wine. And I recall that you were mine In those Parisienne days. Looking back at the photographs. Those summerdays spent outside corner cafes. Oh, I could write you paragraphs, About my old Parisienne days.
I think this song is very very "related" to the song "Europa" by Carlos Santana (even in the title) , which is from 1976. I think this song is practically Gary's feeling and version of that Santana's song. And "Still got the blues" is Gary's attempt of repeating the "Parisienne Walkaways" success. I love both guys, and i'm very glad about Gary being fan of Santana because he expanded to other directions some Santana's styles. Thanks God for the music.
yes, a 'showcase ballad' for lead guitarists was very common from mid-70s through the late 80s. i believe Jeff Beck's "'cause we've ended as lovers' [which Stevie Wonder wrote, btw] got that particular trend-ball rolling, but you can go back to 'sleepwalk' and other 50s ballads for that inspiration too.
I love the blues, just recently started listening to Gary Moore. I know, crazy right... But know I can listen to what I want, no outside influence, if you know what I mean. 😉😊
I don’t discuss about that. Some people listen to better music and Some to shit music. Klassik, Blues, Rock, Jazz. Not 50 cent and that shit Guitar Players like Gary Moore, Jimmy Page and many others influnce me as a guitarist. Rockmusic is deeper, softer But at the same Time harder than rap
Funny, this 'magical sustain' has much more to do with the amp volume and where he's standing than anything specific to the guitar. All you have to do with *any* electric guitar at that volume to get infinite sustain is: run the bridge pickup flat out and 'catch' the sustain with where you are standing, and roll off the highs to avoid squeal. Practice, practice, practice is all it takes. You paid too much, Kirk ;-)
The legend still alive in our hearts 🎸2020 ❤️😢
Indeed! And forever!

It takes years ,decades even, to get anywhere near this guy.and that's if you have a bit of natural ability. Gary had it in abundance,
Best solos guitar ever.
RIP both Gary and Philip. I like to think they're having a pint somewhere.

Et oui c'est magnifique ! Tout comme Santana d'ailleurs ! Un vrai régal pour les oreilles...
Очень люблю Гэри Мура !
This my favorit song.
This binds my heart to my soul. I bet when Santana heard this he said holy fuck!
Obviously there are 15 unemotional, tone deaf people out there who can't feel music. One must be able to feel it to enjoy it.
63 now !!!!!!

Favourite song of the late Mark Slater ( RMP) Para Provost, to the clouds and valhalla.

Hairs on the back of my neck stick up when this guy plays
This is THE MUSIC. Unfortunately 63 people must've misclicked this song somehow.
Da hora
3 fell into Seine.
aku tidak memelihara kenangan.
dia yang memeliharaku ..
how does his guitar sustain for so long
Feedback from the amp. Standing in a certain place will sustain the note technically forever if you get everything spot on
Κλαίει η κιθάρα ρε κλαίει....
RoRo TiDr Μονο η κιθαρα;

on n'en verra plus des comme ça... Sauf peut-être Paul Personne le French chanteur guitariste Moore...

Nice comm.bro!
It's true
I like this song better when it was called Europa...lol
Why has the pitch been altered? Sounds flat.
Its got more feeling now
