QUESTION ABOUT THE GIFT OF TONGUES: If the gift at Pentecost was a 'gift of hearing' why is it called 'gift of speaking in tongues'?
I heard that description before but I find it hard to accept because of what is written in the Bible.
Wouldn't it make more sense to think that the gift was exercised sequentially. One would speak first in one language, then immediately after another would do it, then another, etc.
I also read that maybe they formed groups outside appart from each other where they were heard by those in Jerusalem would hear them speak in the foreign language.

QUESTION ABOUT WOMEN in the BIBLE: Wouldn't it make more sense to see both things in the Bible. Women have an important role, yet to they are to not to be in positions of authority over man in the home and in the church?
Thus, it would be not an egalitarian view but a complementarian role what the Bible teaches.
Like the original intention of God in creation. Adam was created first, then Eve was created and presented to him as his helper or assistant.
