hmmm,... I would have gone to Shimogamo Shrine and Rokkaku-do ... these places are incredibly historical and important to Kyoto ... Shimogamo Shrine especially is dedicated to the protection of women ...
Hi can you please share how you went from kyoto station to Kinkaku-ji then how did you get from there to Arashiyama? There doesnt seem to be an easy route via train. My girlfriend and I are going next week and would love to follow the same route!
Hi! You can take the train from Kyoto station to Emmachi station and then take a bus up to Kinkaku-ji. We ended up taking a local taxi from the train station to Kinkaku-ji (there and back) since it’s faster. Once you are back at Emmachi station you can hop back on the train to Saga-Arashiyama station and walk about 15 minute to the bamboo forest. Hope this helps!
Thank for the vdo. I have a question, do you use “JR PASS” for all the trains you hop on? I bought jr pass and think it’s only for traveling far like from Osaka to Tokyo. Any suggestion? Thank you!
We used the JR Pass too! It's great for all of the regional trains, but you can't use it on the smaller subway systems or bus routes. The rail system in Japan is very well designed and we used it for most of our medium and long distance travel. The JR passes paid themselves off within a few days :)
とてもいいね👍️素晴らしい動画ですね😊日本🇯🇵から

Which month were you in Kyoto? It seems very hot.
We were there in September of 2023 and caught a heat wave. We are Canadian and not accustomed to the heat and humidity!
Hello, which month was this?
This was early September!
I'm pretty sure it's Fox, not Cat
