Working with Layers

Use layers to organize the contents of each canvas. Layers are very useful in editing and organizing your work. The order of layers determines the visibility. You can adjust the opacity of layers, lock layers, add new layers and merge them. Layers are also where you can bring in images - watch the image video to learn more about working with images.

Is there a way to organize the canvases into groups at all?? It’s awful to have to scroll through hundreds of layers to find anything every single time, a grouping feature would be so simple to add.

Uhm I have a question... Why is the Microsoft Windows version like waaaaaaaay worse? It doesn't even have an erase tool. Pls answer this question cause I haven't been able to find anything about it. It would be much appreciated if u guys atleast add an erase tool. Other than that I think I'll be fine. But just saying, the iOS version seems better and I'm in no position to just buy an iPad.

The Windows version does not lack any features in comparison to iOS and there is an eraser: typically with Windows pens, the eraser is on the opposite side of the stylus (like a pencil) or it’s a button on the side of the pen. If your pen does not have an eraser you can use the “E” key to toggle between drawing & erasing. You can always email us at [e-mail] if you have questions.

Can I move a layer into another canvas?

You can create a new canvas with a layer but you cannot move a layer to another canvas. Please see the "selecting and editing" video for more information

Can I delete a canvas?

Yes: press & hold on a canvas (or a bookmark) and you'll see a "delete" pop up appear

@@MentalCanvas THANK YOU SO MUCH every time I use Mental canvas there is blank canvases I don’t like so this was rlly helpful :D
