Shawn is one valuable specialist. Fixing the heart beat of the Trailm8ter one day, and hauling fuel out into the rocks in the very next segment. 🙂
I would drill a hole through the handle on the cap and another hole in the mount you welded on and run a small cable between them so you never lose another gas cap. :)

That rear seat on the buggy has definitely seen better days. I noticed how ripped it was a few videos ago and it just keeps getting worse. I figure down the road that is going to be one of your projects to replace and whatever for the kids in the back.

A small piece of chain on both a cap and on some part of the body should keep it around incase it came off for any reason. A clip board helps me keep from forgetting to do everything. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my shoulders. I have a medication that requires me to take every three hours... I have to write down everytime I take it as I forget if I even took it at all.
So what happened to the front driveline? Or were you too tired and just wanted to go home? Excellent content and thanks for sharing.
If you'll heat that hose with a heat gun or hair dryer it will soften up and go on much easier

Get a cap with a lanyard and attach the lanyard to the bracket. Or use some S link chain and make a lanyard.

Anyway I would have left the bracket on the cap side. You could unbolt and replace it easily. The biggest advantage is with it loose or undone it would be much easier to put the hose on and off.

Looks like the front tires on your buggy are scrubbing.
good upgrade, have you considered using that aluminum tape they use for duct work to cover the plastic hose to protect it from the sum? Just seems like it might work. I have some exposed pvc and simple house paint protects it.
