What an idiotic question journalist has asked mammootty?? It is border line offensive, to be honest. Would he raise the questions about accent of actors like dara singh, who spoke with very thick punjabi accent, through out his career? Or Paresh rawal, who still have gujrati touch to his hindi after doing 100s odd films?? While there are many bengali actors who spoke with bengali twang, Sri devi,Jaya prada, and other actresses from south had major accents too, but no one apparently cared. Out of thousand things, which he could have asked senior actor like Mammootty, this is what he came up with?? I have lived in north all my life and havent seen much of his work, but even i am aware that he is a well respected name in Indian movies. How come being a film journalist he is so ignorant?? Be it a Mammootty, danny or rajnikath, they are Indians first and the best part about being an Indian is that we have unimaginable diversity. Even if they have accent,who cares?? Their talent speaks for themselves. Mammootty politely replied that he knows he will make mistake...No sir, that is no mistake in eyes of your fans.
