This was really helpful. I bought a refurbished Dell 11 Chromebook and found multiple users names on it. I was able to remove the user accounts but I couldn't figure out how to do the manufacturer reset. Now that I completed the manufacturer reset I feel comfortable entering my information. Hey organization lock can not be removed, you have to reset the bios for that which is a very long and expensive solution, unfortunately:(

Thanks for the very helpful video. Just a quick question: Once an old Chromebook over 5 years old is outdated where the OS is no longer supported for regular updates. IF my Acer Chromebook is 6 years old and the update is no longer supported about a year ago, and if i reset my Chromebook in order to gift it to my 12 year old niece, will she be able to update the Chrome OS updto 1 year ago, or will she be stuck with the original OS that came with the Chromebook 6 years ago? I am wondering if there are any disadvantages in resetting an old Chromebook that has been updated on a regular basis? Thank you in advance for your help.
