I like how when you look at the nest from afar you can just see the monster sized queens walking while workers surround them.

Same :) I loved them too... Until they trashed their outworld, escaped, attacked my Carebara Lignata, etc.

Hi, I need your help. I am raising a colony of Carebara diversa ants. In the early days, they still littered in the right place outside the outworld, I don't understand why they now litter inside the nest. I don't know if there's a trick to get the ants to take the trash out of the cave. Please help me.

Ah, I had this problem as well, I found that if I made their nest smaller, i.e. block off one of the chambers, they wouldn't litter there. Hope this helps :)

@@AntCo2019 Thank you so much for replying to me. I admit that the nest is too big and there are gaps, they will litter in the nest. Currently, that pile of garbage has appeared Bedbugs. I'm really bored and I'll definitely move the tank to them because I'm really out of options.

Good luck 😊 By the way, I've heard that Carebara do best in a naturalistic dirt setup, so perhaps the tank will be a better option, though I've never tried it before.

@@AntCo2019 Yes, Carebara I find it very easy to live in, in any environment. I really hate lining the floor with soil because it's very easy to breed mites. I only use AAC tiles with my old glass aquarium. Yesterday I poured out all the ants and fixed the tank. Sorry for the late response. Have a nice day.

Hi ,I’m abit late to comment but do you think the queen died because the workers killed it?Carebara diversa is known to pick one dominant queen and kill the other queen

Oh, I never thought of this possibility! Perhaps you're right 👍

The struggling queen died early June 😞

@@AntCo2019 You need a crowded environment, each layer of acrylic must be all black before you can open the next layer, your nest is too big, and the degree of moisture is not good,They like high humidity, they breed very fast, and they're careful not to overfeed. These queens won't die if you look out for them. My colony of six queens with 100,000 workers has no place to keep them

Nice! Well, it was all part of a learning curve for me, I tried my best :)

Bro, the only reason the struggling queen died, or even struggled in the first place was the the nest is to small for the queens, the tunnel are to small on vertical acrylic nests like that, upgrade to something better.

OK thanks for the advice :) Unfortunately I no longer have this colony , though I've heard that they are doing very well at their new owner's place
