Daaamn. Grubby's commentary comes from an entirely different dimension. It's one thing to have commentary from a person who's seen lots of pro games - they know how to spot when a player is at their weak on strong point, sure, they can point out non-obvious golden moves… But it's another thing entirely to have someone who's used to making all the same decisions, on the same skill level, just dissect the logic behind every decision. I want more of this in my life.
Happy is so insane to watch. Every time I see him play it just looks "easy". Micro is so good that it just looks "easy" to go in and win fights without losing anything. I'm not a super knowledgeable guy when it comes to WC3 but that man is art. Everytime I'm shocked how insane he is compared to your average oppo.

16:52 - I think happy guessed it because he had a unit (minimap) walking on the same direction, however he have not saw Lyn coming back that way, you can see that as soon as that unit walks that area, Happy decides to check the creep camp.

appreciate the casts/more competitive focus lately grubby, really helps especially someone new to wc3, just a suggestion but would be cool to see you go over standard builds, their place in the meta and why they came about/why and when they fall out of favor and how they play out differently depending on map. kinda like a build order history lesson.

BM gets +2 str and +2 int but only +1 agi from lvl 2, so circlet is better than a level up.
Double circlet should be a priority for Blade. I want him as strong as can be for the initial clash and for my opponent not to have the early circlet if I can deny it to him.
Blade gets +1.75 agi from lvl, not +1

The item table change makes a sort of sense feom a newcomer's perspective.
More defense and less attack makes for more survivable heros, and if you're not used to circlet as a staple of the game it might look a little op, and if you play the campaign you might wonder where ring +1 is in multiplyer... untill you remember that it sucks and is shop trash, juat like in the campaign.
I don't mind buying my circlets from now on. Early shop conteol is now more important. I wonder what the value is for 3rd or even 4th circlet.
I want to dislike the change for tradition's sake, amd vecause I really think the table we recently had with Rings of Protection +3/4/5 and Claws +6/9/12 was the best mix, but I feel like I now have more opportunity for early game item optimization against the competition at my level.
I like the lower damage I can attimes expect to take on my hero in the first engagements while having my own output effected little.
I like the greater availability of Rings of Protection for optimal TC tanking.

Thank you for the tips with the circlet ❤ and selling the TP I’m always looking to improve . My micro kinda lacks was wonder if you’d be able to make a video of helicopter view of the keyboard to see how you control hero and army . My cousin way back in the day taught me to circle my hero and army do shift 1 alt 1 and then you have that army locked in on number 1 but is there more the the cake I’m not eating !!!??
Hold down ctrl + and git a number key to assign what you have to that.
You can select your heros with F1 F2 F3.
Personally, I just group my damage dealing hero to 1, my tank hero to 2, and my healer and army to group 3.
He likes to have his buildings grouped to 4, but I think geiup 5 is best for the buildings and leave 4 for special units like siege or air or If I have a really big army.
Grubby likes to have his army grouped in with a hero or two in 1, but that doesn't work for me.
I hear Happy assigns single units to single controll groups so he can micro everything individually using with both hands at once.
I like to controll my whole army as one or two groups and select things individually or as groups with the mouse as needed for finer control.
Experiment.
Do whatever works for you. Watch Grubby's tutorials.
As for what hotkeys he hits...
Grubby has shown his keyboard use before. You can find it if you search his old videos. It's beat, but not really that helpful for learning micro because of his old layout. Grubby has huge hands and uses default hotkeys from back in the day. You do not want to bother with trying trying to use the horribly and illogical arranged default key layout which was arranged alphabetically, not with use and quality of life in mind.
You should use *Grid Keys* layout setting which is way easier to learn, more efficient, more intuitive than the poorly designed default hotkeys.
*Gris keys is an easy to find setting now in the game menue.*
Just set your keys to grid and don't even bother with trying to do it the old fashioned way Grubby does. With Grid Keys your attack, stop, hold and patrol commands will be grouped together right underneath your controller geoups, and your spells keys will be close below. Your building keys will be grouped together and corospond to the war they're arranged on the screen.
Grid vs default is the difference between only having to learn one simple set of less than a dozen closely grouped keys for all the buildings, units, heros, and spells in the game, vs memorizing dozens of different keys scattered all around the keyboard with no useful pattern.
Trust me, you do not want to do that. It's the difference between learning just 3 adjacent spell keys for all the casters and heros in the hame vs 3 different and scattered spell keys for each and every different hero and caster.
Even back in the day a lot of people modified their hotkeys, but now that Grid keys is a setting in the game menue nobody bothers to learn over a hyndered keys spread all across the entire keyword instead of just a handful of keys grouped in the left hand third.

Orc is a very early game race. It's kinda impossible to win vs und and night elf
Orc have very strong heroes but if u start losing some fights and resources u can't fight back less than your blade and tc are strong
Lyn has to learn how to adapt to Happy’s strategies, lyn needs to mass up more units to fend off happy’s pushes. He should try turtling with an expo or something because his current strategies aren’t working at all.

@Grubby when Lyn did the "Book of the Dead" attack onto Happys mine, u clicked away and kept explaining about web/wyvern.. and u never showed what actualy happened there.. i know Happy lost an Acolyte cuz right before u click away, u can hear 1 dying.. and Happy was mid-tech.. wouldve been rly interesting to see..

i wrote some thoughts on 1v1, teamgames, and undead BaLaNcE
i grant that happy is very strong "goat undead" player
but these games highlight some issues with wc3 1v1 meta, for me...
hard to enjoy "the game" when it seems so firmly established that...
if you fight the undead. you lose. the counterplay is so vague and subtle and i question whether it even exists...
undead creeping? undead harassing? undead teching? undead expanding? it seems irrelevant.
you have no recourse against them. no counter play. no "give and take" of strategy between player choices.
no "punishment" for choosing "X" and therefore being weak(er) at "Y" ... this is a NECESSARY aspect for a balanced competitive strategy game
i love wc3 btw. doesnt have to be "perfectly balanced" ... just sort of "lame" to watch undead, from a competitive strategic standpoint, and feel as i've described
i think team game format, not 1v1, is truly fantastic.
the imbalance between races being nullified by many factors. race combos, map size, side vs side aspect, etc
it allows this aspect of COMPENSATION that i feel is missing from 1v1 vs undead,
because ud are too strong and the decisions dont matter (in the sense that you have no VIABLE recourse no matter what they do)
it becomes that i watch it, hoping, praying
"what on earth this man will do vs undead, and how long will he survive before the inevitable"
"i wonder if the undead player will throw so severely so as to warrant a real game, and how could that happen"
this makes it hard for me to appreciate happy skill, although i have watched him offrace and he is obviously insanely skilld
just that all Undead players are COWARDS because THEY KNOW THIS in their cold dead undead hearts

Did you watch the games at all, or just waste your time on commenting videos that you pause at 0:01? If you get creepjacked so hard, it does not matter what races you and your opponent play, it's gg. Add to this that you play against one of the best players in the World, of course he will utilize that.
If Lyn was smarter/luckier and did creepjack Happy same way, it would be ez win for Lyn. Would you write such comment about how Orcs are unbalanced after that? I doubt, cuz you being biased adds to your ignorance.
And not speaking that undead so nerfed to the ground that only Happy left among top players. He buys circlet, cuz he knows how 1 BM can destroy the whole 5000 gold undead army, wich Lyn demonstrated later in this match.

I hear you man, although what sticks out to me is things like this:
- "getting creep jacked SO hard" (to me this highlights the sheer amount the undead must "throw" to make the game competitive/even)
- "if lyn was LUCKIER" (...this is an issue)
- UD nerfed to the ground (imo... there may be "nerfs," but again, i question how truly practical they are. UD imbalance is hard to address imo without essentially a "page one re-write" of the race...)
- im not biased against undeads lol like they didnt destroy my family. its purely observational. and im speaking from years, not this single game my boy. plz dont take personal offense
- given a one-sided orc victory... i would NOT write such comments about how orcs are unbalanced, YOU ARE RIGHT
- but not because of "IgNoRaNcE" ... but because there is counterplay against them. all of their choices have give/take that allow the opposing player some avenue of compensation... this is exactly my point about UD BaLaNcE... try to understand that
- one sided victories happen and are fine. i believe an orc win would be FAR MORE due to skill, and NOT inherent GAPS in balance + ability to counterplay + LACK of strategic compensation

what is the counter play vs undead who is winning trades so one-sidedly, at most stages of the game, given 'equal' micro ?
what is the counter play vs undead? given that the undead opts for A, B, C (like given a strategic choice, what/where is the exposed weakness from choosing A, B, C -> and therefore being (temporarily) "weaker" at X, Y, Z -> "where is the counter play"

@@jacobg892 if you played the game 1/100 of the time you spent time writing essays on internet you would understand a bit more about the balance.
Happy was ALWAYS famous for his micro skills, even when undead were close to unplayable at pro level (for about 10 years), he was always in top 16 of the world, mostly the only undead there with few expectations. So your "equal micro" is just stupid, Happy and Moon at his peak got the best micro in the history of the game, and many pro players said that, including Grubby.
Happy's weakest point was strategy variable, partly bc most of undead units were badly balanced and mostly useless at pro level for 10 years, wyrms, banshee, necromancer, meatwagons, even ghouls. When he improved that aspect of the game, he became the best or one of the best at very least.
If your opinion is not biased and comes completely from observation, how come most eu finals are not Undead vs Undead, but Happy against players of other races? How come there are only 2 world class undead players on the Globe and like at very least 5+ orcs? You wanna go against statistics or what?

I think Mad]Q[frog has been the first best player and MyM]Lucifer has been the best UD players ever. I would even say Lucifer would have been the 6th race.
Sweet was quite dominant as well.
There was also 4K.Fury long ago and after him FoV. MaDFroG had the best micro that time. Besides, there was MYM]Susiria, who was a skilled ghoul player. But Happy surpassed them all
