It's sad how a lot of people know Sherlock Holmes. But no one really knew John Watson. They never knew who this brilliant person is. He is Sherlock's half. Maybe not romantically, maybe not platonically. But he really is Sherlock's half. He gives light to the heart that has been frozen for years. He was the one that melted it. He taught him how to love again. How to _be human_ again. He was the friend he never knew he needed. And don't tell me it's just in BBC. Because it's even implied in the books. Remember The Three Garridebs? John was shot in the leg and John saw the emotions beneath that cold gaze Sherlock wore. He could see every inch of fear he felt in that moment. How important was John in that moment? Sherlock said that he would've killed the man who had shot John if he died. He was prepared to commit murder. This friendship, this duo, just these two people in this world, never fail to show the love they give each other. Even if it's platonic, they love each other so much

They love each other indeed. And in the special books that written by Doyle' son. He had written Holmes and Watson were being together in the end. I just understand subtext when I grow up.
@@thitiporn5618 I didn't know that Doyle's son had written anything. What books are these? The only books I've heard of are by writers outside the Doyle clan and the worst of them by the American writer Laurie King, who committed heresy by marrying Holmes with his * argh * character.
@@sell8789 The exploit of Sherlock Holmes. Written by Adrian Conan doyle and John Dickson Carr. You can find the pdf. on googles. I count this book as canon because it was written by the heirs and this book was inspired with the case in original book that never told by Watson. In the case " The red widow" last paragraph is from Watson POV. He said he was sit in his chair looking through the window from their farm house, seeing Sherlock with the bee farm. When I read it since I was a child , I really happy that they finally stay together. I realize what the relationship they are when I read it again as I get older. LOL.

Honestly the Moriarty pool scene is really the best in the entire show; the second that Moriarty leaves and Sherlock is sure they are safe he immediately goes to get the bomb off of john, "asking are you alright" multiple times. Tbh it just shows how much sherlock actually cares cares for john and how concerned he is for johns safety
not to mention they haven’t known each other for that long at that period of time? now that shows that even since the beginning Sherlock knew that he cared for John and respected that he was in the military.

I love how they changed after Sherlock's "death". They matured a lot, and the angst was real. I'm really happy that they figured themselves out and managed to save their friendship, that is now stronger than ever. I wish we could see that change in some special episode or maybe even another season

They went from flatmates, to partners, to friends, to best friends, to two dads with their daughter. It is and has always been the two of them against the rest of the world ❤️
I'm so emotional oh my God. John and Sherlock have such a connection and Martin and Benedict are amazing (ly hot) actors and are so talented at what they do, literally ripping my heart out of my chest. Even after everything the two went though they just couldn't leave each other. One was always there for the other whenever they needed it. Sherlock would rather kill himself than his brother and best friend because he considers both family. John cares about Sherlock even when he doesnt want to, even when he cant bare the thought of caring about the man his wife saved. When John cried, Sherlock was there to hold him. When Sherlock jumped from the roof, John rushed to his side. I just cant get over this series, even after years later from the first time I watched it. I know I'm going off but I just cant hold in how beautiful this series and chemistry is and how Sherlock Holmes and John Watson have set all our hearts in motion since the day they appeared on screen. Beautiful.

Mary shipped it when she first met Sherlock. She literally told John that he was shaving of his mustache because Sherlock hated it not because everyone else hated it.
Well I'm pretty sure Mary said that cause she was aware of the danger she possessed. She made that video before she died, meaning she was pretty much sure she was gonna die somehow. She knew if she was alive, it'd put John's life in danger & Sherlock's as well. So she sacrificed her life & she knew the way they had each others back before she came in John's life. So my bet is she meant, if she's gone they'd have each other as they had before. I just don't understand why can't you guys just take it as two best friends being closer than brothers by blood!?

However, if you would make the attempt to remove your blindfold you would notice how much love there is between this two man. All is valid, but there was NEVER, not even in the books, brotherly love between Sherlock Holmes and Doctor John Watson. Love as partners, as companions, as friends, as the better halfs of each other, and with a clear queer coding in a lot of the stories by the original author. This ship is alive since 1887, already in that time there were people that thought they were lovers. Is already established and if you can't see at least the possibility, you have a serious problem of denial.

The story of Sherlock Holmes is quite an amazing phenomenon when you think about it.
Unlike so many other stories, unlike the majority of characters we are introduced to with each book we read, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s story about the Bakerstreet boys lives on through centuries.
The books especially is what brought life to Sherlock and John. They were a directly seen and retold from John Watson’s eyes and his point of view. The stories didn’t talk about Sherlock’s adventure from a narrative point or from Sherlock’s first person viewpoint, they were told how John saw and lived them. And this brought the element of it all feeling real, because it may have seemed romanticised and borderline imaginative if it weren’t for the fact that it was told from another man’s view on who Sherlock was.
We all have people we find so incredible that we make them out to be borderline demigods, and John was told as no different. HE made the stories of the fantastic Sherlock Holmes to life. Even though he was just another character himself.
Many people till this day will assume Sherlock was a real person, many believed that back when they first read the stories as well, simply because of the cheer incredible way Doyle told the story. A way of writing that was invented and loved yet never popularised thus making the Sherlock series stick out even today.
The way Sherlock comforts John saying "It's okay" and the way John just stays in his friend's embrace, not even moving breaks my heart for real.
This is one of the most beautiful Sherlock/John videos I have ever watched on CZcams. Thank you for making this. You have described the evolution of the great and wonderful relationship between the boys what is so much more than just friendship, so well.
