John and Roger were the anchor of the live performances. But he was also a very good guitar player, playing much of the rhythm guitar on Queen's songs because he was the best rhythm player. He was also the only one other than Roger who played drums on Queen records

They were given a lifetime achievement Grammy..I'm pretty sure after sweet Freddie left us. I love how much you love and appreciate this magnificent man and amazing band as a whole. I was fortunate to have grown up with this and other incredible music..Freddie was one in a billion. From the moment I heard Bohemian Rhapsody I was a fanatic for Queen. I bought their records and all Freddie’s albums too. Greatest showman with the most talented band. We were so lucky back in those days to hear them live. As a teen the more I listened, the more genius I discovered. The only band to have all four members inducted into the songwriting rock’ roll hall of fame. Freddie’s singing on Bo Rap was listed as number one vocal of a rock singer in Rolling Stone Magazine. Legend.

Setlist.fm shows Under Pressure as #7 out of 27 songs that night (each song in the medley is listed separately). How many other artists would trust their voice enough to do that type of a call and response so early in the show? Freddie was super human in that respect. I can usually estimate where a song is on the set list based on how many clothes he still has on. ;-) Love this video. Such a feel good song.

Great reaction HAP. QUEEN did about 28 or 29 songs that night. They were there for both nights Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of July in 1986. Friday nights preformance they were alittle more engaging with the crowd and it was raining all evening but Saturday nights was the best . This concert here at Wembley Saturday July 12th 1986 is my favorite concert to watch because of the nonstop action from start to finish. 28 songs are alot and there is even a 10 minute guitar solo that BRIAN and the RED SPECIAL do that only BRIAN is the only one on stage. You are going to have to watch this concert all the way through. Thank you HAP for starting to watch videos from this concert. Its one of the epic concerts thst QUEEN did. Take care my brother. I have watched this so much that it’s become a favorite and, to me, I enjoy it more than the songs with David Bowie. And Bowie is great, but the song feels more natural with just Queen. The Freddie call and response from Wembley was played at closing ceremony of 2012 olympics ... maybe worth a look at some point?

Cheers Haps, IMO Freddie sings the Bowie lyrics whilst Roger sings Freddies lines......................Freddie did say F.U.

I believe you're totally right: That Roger and Freddie "switched" parts, with Roger taking the higher lines. (As usual, so that Fred could save his throat a bit onstage.)

Freddie & Roger sound so much better than Freddie and Bowie! And yes Freddie did say “fuck you” to the fans as he did as he did often. Freddie could sing anything as shown just by following his career, rock and roll thru opera! I’ve watched the Wembly concert so many times! Hap, I love how you have become such a Queen & Freddie (especially) fan! Well it was Deacy’s riff originally so he had to be kind of out front because of the heavy bass.

Imagine if someone put a collection of all the Aye Oh clips from every concert together,,would be one hell of a video to watch and see all the different crowd interactions, Ps The Live Aid one would have to be final video

Great reaction! I loved it! It could not be any other way, their concerts were always great, sice the 70’s, but this tour was magnificent. John did not like to be out there too much, but he loved to dance. You should check out his camera during the Wembley concerts, it is great to see how much he enjoyed himself. Of course his mini bar in the back must have helped a lot! 😂😂😂

Wow! So wonderful to see a new person to find Queen and Freddie. Happy journey ahead for you. I am so jealous of you hearing this genius for the very first time. As a child of the 1980s, Queen is the sound of my adolescence and I know every note and lyric. I still listen as often as I can, but I envy your ears hearing it for the very first time! Genius? Yes. He really was.

I was watching a documentary and John was playing the bass and Roger took note of it. In the meantime they all went out to dinner. When they got back ,Roger ask John what was that little ditty he was playing before dinner . John said he forget, after a while he remembered. Dum dum dum da da Dum. That's it Roger said! Lucky that 😂

You said a mouthful, Hap. Freddie Mercury was a man worthy of admiration, asx are all members of Queen, but Freddie had that special something, magnetism, charisma, or I'm not sure if a good enough word has yet been invented, but he definitely possessed "it" whatever "it" was. Your reaction was spot on friend. Made my evening for sure.
Also, although I understand you're quite busy with the channel, but would you mind making a reaction to Freddie's version of, "the Great Pretender" it's a great remake, imo, which few usually are, and really suits Freddie's voice and life, in many ways. I think you would like it as well.
