I have a question. Does God help take care of us mentally. I know he does psychically, but what about our mental health? Does God, want people to be mentally miserable? I fear that God, will leave me stuck in my mental misery, until He returns. I can't really handle the things I'm going through and would like to talk to you about it. I have been stuck this way for over a year, which makes it hard to trust God, to help me with the suffering I have mentally. I have prayed for him to help me, but nothing is really changing, which makes it even harder to trust him. I'm am literally petrified that he's going to leave me this way, mentally. With all of these obsessive thoughts I have along with the fear, worry and anxiety makes it difficult to set my mind of things above and unable to give ALL of my heart, mind and soul to him, because all I do is think about these other thoughts. I have no happiness, and I'm not able to rejoice and I don't have peace or happiness in my life. These thoughts I have depress me and it's all I focus on. I'm mentally miserable!
    What do I do?

There are all kinds of mental issues in our world, and I am sorry you are struggling with some. I can't give you a generic answer that will answer your question because some problems require professional guidance or even medicine to balance out different chemicals in the brain. Other times, it could be as easy as changing your outlook on life and drawing closer to God. The best place to begin is to figure out why you are struggling mentally. Once you know if it is a chemical imbalance or something you can change without medicine, that would get on the right path. Just remember, God has made it possible for us to acquire the knowledge that we have today that helps with mental conditions. To answer one of your questions, yes God wants us to fit mentally, but just as some might lose a leg or an arm, sometimes we have to work with what we got and realize that this life is but a vapor. When we think about eternity in comparison to the short misery we may experience on the earth, it should give you at least a glimmer of hope and motivation to push forward. Paul had his struggles. Notice what he learned:
2 Cor. 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
No doubt prayer can be powerful, but just because you don't get the answer you want right away doesn't mean God isn't listening or doesn't care. Have you prayed that you might find a counselor that might be able to help you with some of the issues you struggle with? Have you prayed that you might find the right books to read that might help you? Certainly never forget to be encouraged from those in the Bible who overcame the things in their lives that were plaguing them. I will pray for you also, but you also actively need to seek help with your issues while keeping your focus on God. I am going to share an article with you that you might find helpful as well.

@@LGministry Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me, that takes a good person to do that, and I truly appreciate it. I will take all of this is to consideration. I have been getting help and taking my medications. My last question is, was Peter, left to suffer with misery with the thorn in his side or was he okay and happy? That's all I need to know. Because I'm afraid God, will leave me in my mental misery until He returns just to see if I'll be faithful to Him. I can't live in this mental misery, and not help me to get better. I have contemplated suicide many times. I'm just scared that no matter what I do I will not get better mentally, and will never be able to get over this and be happy again.
